Artistic Portraits and Creative Visuals
This is a visual journal where movement meets the lens. From remote photography collaborations to performance stills, these are the moments where I explore identity, light, and the raw emotion behind my practice.
A sneak peek from a music and dance video cover. A creative collaboration where we played with light, costume, and digital effects to create a unique visual world.
A black and white portrait from a remote photography session. A reminder to love yourself and say no to mediocrity. Magic does exist.
Playing with hues of blue and red. A fun remote photography session where I set up the lights and received direction, exploring character and mood.
Another portrait from the black and white series. This one plays with silence and secrets, exploring the expressive power of a simple gesture.
A candid moment of pure joy. My advice to the world: dance like there's no tomorrow, dance for your soul, and let yourself be intoxicated with love and energy.
A moment of quiet reflection, inspired by the words of Kahlil Gibran. A photo that speaks to the deep connection between life, love, and art.
A blurry, motion-filled portrait playing with a red veil. This image captures the feeling of being swept away by emotion, inspired by a Khalil Gibran quote on life and love.
An upside-down perspective from a black and white photoshoot. It's about seeing the world differently and finding the magic in changing your point of view.
A short, creative video about finding your own light. A collaboration featuring original music and video direction, playing with ethereal visuals and atmosphere.
A quiet, thoughtful portrait. These moments of stillness are just as important as the moments of movement, a time for reflection and gratitude.
About Artistic Portraits & Creative Shorts
These visuals are more than just portraits; they are experiments in light, distance, and storytelling. Whether it is a remote photography session where I manage the lighting from my space in Bangalore while a collaborator directs me, or a raw, motion-filled performance still, each shot is a collaboration. I look for the gaps between stillness and movement, using light and shadow to tell stories that words cannot always reach.
My artistic practice is a constant exploration of the human condition—grief, joy, and the quiet moments in between. You will see this duality reflected here: the stillness of a posed, black-and-white portrait and the frantic, beautiful energy of a movement study.
Behind the Lens
Many of the images in this collection were born from creative constraints. I enjoy the process of remote photography—setting up my own lights and staging in my studio while a collaborator directs me from afar. It forces a different kind of presence. Other pieces here are fragments of my theatrical works, such as 'ALL ABOUT NOTHING,' where I used prose and melody to strip away the noise of the world.
The Philosophy of My Visuals
- Butoh & Grounding: You will notice a focus on the body as a canvas. My background in Butoh encourages me to embrace raw, honest physicality rather than performative beauty.
- Lighting & Ambience: I treat light as a partner. From deep red saturations to stark, high-contrast monochrome, the colors in these images usually mirror the specific emotional state I am investigating that day.
- Identity Exploration: Photography allows me to capture the transient nature of a performance. Once the dance is over, the feeling fades, but these stills allow that intensity to remain.
If you find resonance in these visuals, I am always open to creative projects. Whether it is for a photography collaboration, an experimental film, or simply to discuss how we can bring movement into your own artistic project, let us talk.
