About this collection

Sport-based martial arts have rules, but the street doesn’t. In my S.H.E. (Simple, Handy, Effective) workshops, we strip away the complex forms and focus entirely on real-world survival. Whether I’m training a corporate team in BKC or a group at a public park, the goal is always the same: keep it practical, keep it simple, and ensure you walk away with skills you can use immediately if things go wrong.

Why S.H.E. (Simple, Handy, Effective)?

Most self-defense programs fall into two traps: they either teach 'deadly' techniques that require years of training to master, or they stick to sport-based scoring that won't help you in a parking lot. My workshops are different. I focus on gross motor skills—movements that work even when your adrenaline is spiking and your fine motor skills have gone out the window.

Where We Train

I built Fighting Fit to be mobile. We aren't limited by a dojo floor. We take our mats to corporate lobbies in BKC, community grounds in Juhu, or even open forests. If you have a group, I have the training plan. This adaptability is part of the lesson: learning to defend yourself in the space you actually occupy, not just a controlled gym environment.

Who This Is For

I don't care about your fitness level, your age, or your athletic background. Martial arts is not just for the young and fit. If you have a will, I will find a way for you to build a step-by-step defense plan that fits your body and your strengths. We use everything from kickboxing basics to Indian Lathi techniques to ensure you aren't just memorizing moves, but understanding the logic behind them.

What You Will Learn

We cover situational awareness, de-escalation, and hands-on drills for:

  • Escaping grabs and holds
  • Managing distance in unpredictable crowds
  • Using everyday objects for protection
  • Defending against common real-world threats

Come ready to sweat and think. We don't do 'soft' training, but we do keep it safe and supportive for beginners.

I’m Hemaal, or Sensei H. I’ve spent 28 years teaching martial arts, and I’ve realized that most people don't need a black belt; they need a way to stay safe. My workshops are designed to break the barriers of traditional dojos so that everyone—regardless of fitness or age—can learn to defend themselves.
