Martial Arts Training for Everyone
You do not need to be an athlete to start. If you have the will, I will find a way to make martial arts work for you, regardless of your age, fitness, or physical limitations.
This is my promise to you. If you have a will, we will find a way. We create a training plan that fits your strength, helping you become your own bodyguard.
My core philosophy: Be Your Own Bodyguard. This photo was taken during a training session in some old ruins. It doesn't matter your age or fitness, if you have the will to learn, I will find a way to teach you.
About this collection
I do not use cookie-cutter fitness plans. When you come to train, we first look at your mobility and existing strengths. If you have knee issues, we won't be doing high-impact jumping kicks. Instead, we work on practical, low-impact defense mechanics and stick training that you can actually use in real life without hurting yourself.
Martial arts is not just for the young and the fit. It is for anyone who wants to feel safe. My approach at Fighting Fit is to break the rules of traditional gyms. You are not just a number or a paying member; you are a student, and my job is to adapt the art to fit your body, not force your body to fit the art.
Why Adaptability Matters
Most places teach one system and expect everyone to perform the same way. That is dangerous if you are not built for it. I mix elements from Filipino Kali, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and traditional Indian systems like Silambam, but I strip away the 'sport' aspect. We focus on reality-based self-defense—what works when you are in a tight spot, not what scores points in a competition.
What to Expect
Whether you are 18 or 80, we start with your foundation. If you cannot run five kilometers, we do not start there. We start with situational awareness, balance, and simple, effective strikes using your natural movements. We train in a way that builds longevity. I want you to be training for years, not burning out in two weeks.
Real World Application
We often train in non-traditional settings—outdoor parks or open spaces—because street defense does not happen on a padded gym floor. You will learn to navigate uneven ground and environmental challenges. By the time you finish your first few sessions, you will understand that being 'Fighting Fit' is about a mindset of survival and the confidence that comes with knowing you can defend yourself, no matter your starting point.
Hemaal Shah
I am Sensei H. I have spent nearly three decades learning that martial arts isn't about being the toughest person in the room—it's about being safe. I’ve trained people from all walks of life, and my approach is always the same: we build the system around you, not the other way around.
