Yoga is not always about pretty poses. It is about sweat, grit, and showing up for yourself when you do not feel like it. Here is a look at my personal practice on and off the mat.

A beautiful morning practicing Natarajasana (Lord of the Dance Pose) outdoors. Connecting with nature while I practice always helps me feel more grounded and focused.

Holding Warrior III on the beach. Balancing poses like this are a physical and mental challenge, teaching you to ground yourself and focus on a single point to avoid distractions.

A one-legged downward dog stretch by the river. This variation, Eka Pada Adho Mukha Svanasana, opens the hips and lengthens the hamstrings while building upper body strength.

A short, calming flow I did by the window on a rainy day. This sequence includes seated twists, forward folds, and a wild thing pose, showing that you can have a complete practice in a small space.

Finding stillness in Gomukhasana, or Cow Face Pose. This deep stretch for the shoulders and hips is a perfect example of how the body benefits from movement, and the mind benefits from stillness.

Working on a headstand variation in the studio. Playing with different leg positions in an inversion challenges your core and balance in new ways.

A creative edit of my headstand practice. Yoga is a holistic workout, moving the body in every direction from standing poses to inversions.

This is that feeling when you find a class that challenges you. Here I'm moving through a sequence of Malasana (Garland Pose) into a bind and balance.

A simple Vinyasa flow in the studio. Moving through poses like Downward Dog, Upward Dog, and Wild Thing helps to build heat and connect breath with movement.

A short clip showing how a consistent practice builds strength and focus. These are some of the foundational movements that make up our Vinyasa flow.

About My Practice: On and Off the Mat

I do not teach Insta-yogi fluff. My practice in Marol, specifically at House of Happiness and JDS Gym, is about showing up, aligning, and doing the work. Whether we are grinding through static Hatha holds or pushing through high-intensity Vinyasa, the goal is always consistency, not just looking the part for the camera.

It is not just about hitting the pose, it is about why you are there. When I am on the mat, I am not thinking about lighting or angles. I am focused on alignment, building heat, and shutting out the noise. In my sessions at House of Happiness or JDS Gym in Marol, we apply that same philosophy.

We start with Hatha basics to understand your body. Why are your shoulders hunched? How do you engage your core? Once you have that foundation, we move into Vinyasa flows to get your heart rate up. Mondays and Wednesdays are for static holds, building that mental and physical grit. Fridays are for Vinyasa, focusing on speed, heat, and fluid movement.

My students are not looking for a quick fix or a zen aesthetic that dissolves the moment they step off the mat. They show up at 07:30 AM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays because they want to build real strength, relieve back pain, or just de-stress after a chaotic week. You will sweat, you might curse, and you will definitely leave feeling stronger than you arrived. If you are done with the filler and ready to actually do the work, show up on the mat. We have space for you.

Hey, I am Tara. I am the one who will push you through a tough flow while laughing at how hard we are all breathing. I believe in showing up, doing the work, and being real about the struggle because that is where the strength comes from.
