About Asanas for Women's Health

These movements are not just aesthetic. They are tools to manage menstrual discomfort, improve digestion, and build pelvic stability. I teach you how to actually engage your muscles, like pulling your thighs back in a Goddess pose or finding your breath in Baddha Konasana, so you stop just mimicking shapes and start feeling the physiological shift.

Most people think yoga is about flexibility or thin bodies, but my practice focuses on what is happening inside. We work on alignment to help your joints and pelvic floor, not just to look good in a photo.

Why these poses matter

  • Goddess Pose: We use this to strengthen the pelvic floor and inner thighs, which helps with overall stability.
  • Baddha Konasana: Also known as the Butterfly stretch, this is my go-to for opening the hips and relieving menstrual pain.
  • Matsyasana: This fish pose is excellent for thyroid support and chest opening.

My approach

I don't offer shortcuts. In my group classes in Marol, we use blocks and straps to make these poses accessible, even if you are just starting. You will learn to hold these postures with intent. You will sweat, you will feel the burn, and you will learn how your body works. I am not here to give you an easy workout. I am here to help you get stronger, calmer, and more focused.
