Mastering the 'Short Spine' requires a deep understanding of body mechanics. I teach trainees to guide clients through complex sequences involving plantar flexion, dorsiflexion, and spinal articulation, which are key components of our Pilates anatomy certification.

Here, I am guiding a student through the 'Long Spine' and 'Jackknife' movements. The instruction focuses on precise control, ensuring the carriage does not move while the spine melts down vertebra by vertebra, which is crucial for developing core strength and flexibility.

The 'Stomach Massage' series on the reformer is excellent for core engagement. I teach variations from a rounded spine to a straight spine with twists, explaining how to transfer pressure from the core to the quads and achieve proper ankle movement.
