About The Classical Method in Motion
You will not find generic fitness routines here. In these private sessions, we work with the original Contrology sequence using specialized apparatus like the Reformer, Cadillac, and Wunda Chair. If you are accustomed to group classes where you simply mimic an instructor, prepare for a different experience. Every spring setting, breath pattern, and movement is intentional because in classical work, precision is the primary driver of your results.
Understanding Classical Pilates
Classical Pilates is not just exercise; it is a system. When you train in my studio at the JW Marriott on Vittal Mallya Road, you are engaging with over 500 exercises designed to strengthen, lengthen, and balance the body. We do not switch between random movements. We follow the specific order intended by Joseph Pilates, which ensures your body learns control, concentration, and flow.
Why the Equipment Matters
We use the Balanced Body CenterLine suite, which adheres to the original specifications of classical apparatus. Whether it is the resistance of the Reformer or the support of the Cadillac, the equipment provides tactile feedback that forces you to engage the right muscles. This is not about mindless repetition. It is about understanding how to fire your deep core muscles correctly.
Is This For You?
My clients range from complete beginners looking to correct posture and heal back pain to competitive athletes using Pilates to improve their hip stability and golf swing. Because I operate 1-on-1 or in duets, every session is tailored to your body's specific needs. If you have an injury, we adapt. If you are advanced, we progress. This is 'Pilates and' everything else you do, not a replacement for your sport.
If you are ready to stop mimicking movements and start understanding your own physiology, this is the right space for you.
