Clinical Pilates & Evidence-Based Rehabilitation
I blend physiotherapy with the STOTT PILATES method to help you move safely and effectively. Whether you are recovering from an injury or just need to fix your posture, these sessions are built on science, not just sweat.
I believe Pilates is an art form that sculpts the body with both strength and grace. This is the kind of balance and control we work towards in every session, using specialized equipment like the Cadillac to challenge and support your body in new ways.
As a physiotherapist, my focus is always on correct form. Here, I am guiding a client through a jackknife on the reformer, ensuring she articulates her spine vertebra by vertebra. This clinical approach makes the exercise safe and effective, especially for strengthening the core and improving spinal health.
Our studio is a place of energy and community. This is what weekends look like here, with clients of all levels moving together, supporting each other on their fitness journey. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, you will find your place on the reformer.
Hearing stories like Krupa's is why I do what I do. She came to me with multiple ergonomic issues, including cervical and lower back pain, and found relief and strength through our sessions. Clinical Pilates can be a life-changing form of rehabilitation and meditation.
We help you discover a level of strength you never thought possible. This advanced handstand variation on the Wunda Chair requires immense core control, balance, and upper body strength, all principles we build progressively and safely in our training.
You do not always need equipment to build a strong foundation. Our Mat Pilates sessions focus on fundamental movements like the teaser prep and glute exercises, using your own body weight to build core strength and stability from the ground up.
Many injuries come from our modern, sedentary lifestyles. I teach Pilates to build the endurance of your postural muscles, helping you maintain a healthy posture throughout the day and prevent the pain that comes from hours of sitting.
Pilates is a partnership, whether it is between an instructor and a client or two clients motivating each other. We work together to transform the mind and body, finding strength and balance through the power of connected movement.
About Featured
Before you step onto a reformer, we start with a mandatory clinical assessment. As a physiotherapist, I analyze your movement limitations and posture, reviewing any existing reports to create a customized recovery roadmap. This ensures that every exercise we do on the Cadillac or reformer is safe, targeted, and specifically designed to address your unique pain points or muscle imbalances.
My approach to Pilates is rooted in rehabilitation. While many studios focus on high-intensity movement, I prioritize precision, breathing, and proper form—the cornerstones of the STOTT PILATES method. When you work with me, you are not just exercising; you are engaging in a structured program that uses specialized equipment to improve your musculoskeletal health.
Why Clinical Pilates?
If you have dealt with chronic back pain, a slipped disc, or ergonomic issues from a desk job, traditional fitness routines often do more harm than good. My studio in Kalyan Nagar serves as a controlled environment where we focus on endurance muscles—the ones that keep your spine stable and your joints aligned throughout the day. By using cues like 'articulate your spine vertebra by vertebra', I help you build conscious control over your body, moving beyond simple repetitions to understand the mechanics of every stretch and contraction.
Our Studio Capabilities
We are fully equipped with Merrithew Reformers, Cadillac Trapeze Tables, and Stability Chairs. This machinery allows me to provide both support and resistance that a mat workout simply cannot replicate. Whether we are performing a jackknife or focusing on anterior pelvic tilt correction, the equipment allows for precise adjustments based on your current range of motion.
We serve clients across Bengaluru, specifically supporting those with:
- Post-injury rehabilitation: Safely rebuilding strength after surgeries or chronic issues.
- Postural correction: Addressing imbalances caused by prolonged sitting.
- Pre and Postnatal support: Specialized programs for mothers-to-be.
- Athletic conditioning: Enhancing performance through improved balance and core control.
Dr Pilates
I am a physiotherapist first, and that changes how I teach. I created this space in Kalyan Nagar because I wanted a place where athletes and desk workers alike could fix their posture and heal injuries using evidence-based Pilates.
