About Tabla Solo Recitals

A solo recital is an intimate conversation between the artist and the audience. When I perform, I dedicate at least 60 minutes before the concert to tuning my tabla to the specific acoustics of the venue, ensuring the nuances of the Delhi and Farukhabad Gharanas ring true. Whether it is a complex Kaida or a traditional Gat, my goal is to keep the audience engaged through both rhythmic performance and the verbal recitation, or Padhant, of the compositions.
