About Awards & Recognition
Receiving the Pt. Lalu Singh Samman 2025 was a truly humbling experience for me. It is not just an award, but a reflection of the years I have spent in riyaaz and the profound teachings of my gurus in the Delhi and Farukhabad gharanas. These moments serve as a reminder to keep serving the art form with sincerity.
In the world of Indian classical music, recognition is not about the trophy. It is about the community and the lineage we represent. Performing at platforms like the Debadhara Festival in Delhi has allowed me to connect with fellow artists, gurus, and an audience that truly appreciates the nuances of Tabla and Pakhavaj.
My journey has been defined by constant learning. Whether it is performing a solo recital or providing rhythmic accompaniment, each opportunity is a chance to express what words cannot. Being felicitated alongside legends of the field is a blessing that encourages me to dive deeper into my practice. I am thankful to the organizers and the listeners who keep the spirit of classical music alive in our cities today. If you are looking for a musician who understands the soul and discipline required for classical or fusion performances, I am here to share that journey with you.
