Mastering the Art of Striking and Sparring
Our daily reality: drills, heavy pad work, and live sparring. If you want to build fight-ready skills, you have to be on the mats.
"You've got to be a beast." A look inside a packed sparring session at our gym. Everyone is geared up, working on their boxing and kickboxing combinations with partners.
"Chalo chalo chalo, jab cross lagao." A typical boxing sparring day at the club. I'm pushing the students to keep their pace up and throw their punches.
"Counter dena hai." During a kickboxing sparring session, I'm explaining how to counter a low kick with a punch combination. It's about action and reaction.
Today is sparring day. Our members are practicing their boxing skills, working on offense and defense with partners in a controlled environment.

About The Daily Grind: Striking & Sparring
We don't do choreographed training. In our sparring sessions, you face the reality of a wall-to-wall exchange, not just point-scoring. You will feel the pressure, learn to keep your guard up, and understand that hesitation is your biggest enemy. It’s not about being pretty; it’s about being effective when it counts.
The Foundation of a Fighter
Striking isn't about throwing wild punches; it’s about precision, timing, and composure. At Combat MMA Club, we build this foundation through rigorous pad work. Before you ever step into a sparring session, you will spend time on the heavy bags, drilling your jab-cross, hooks, and low kicks until the movement is in your muscle memory.
The Sparring Reality
Sparring is where the theory dies and the reality begins. We maintain a controlled environment where students practice boxing, Muay Thai, and kickboxing under the watchful eye of senior fighters and coaches.
- Controlled Pressure: We force you to work in tight spaces, teaching you how to defend against the wall and manage distance when you are fatigued.
- Technical Feedback: Unlike open-gym formats, our sparring is supervised. We stop the round to correct your footwork, guard positioning, or reaction time. You don't just fight; you learn why you got hit.
- Gear and Environment: We train in a practical, non-AC environment in Laxmi Nagar that reflects the grit of a real arena. You’ll be on 25mm EVA puzzle mats with access to high-quality heavy bags and focus mitts.
Whether you are training for competition or just want to develop the discipline of a fighter, the approach is the same. There are no shortcuts. If you can handle the intensity, you will walk out of this gym with skills that actually work in the ring.
