We take natural dyeing far beyond our Mysore makerspace. From microbial research to international fabric expos, we are working to reshape the future of fashion.

Our impact is growing globally. We are happy to see brands and artists from across the world visiting our academy to learn and experience natural dyeing, helping us spread the message of sustainability.

We had the privilege of participating in the Future Fabrics Expo 2025 in London. The event was a powerful showcase of solutions, from bio-based colors to regenerative farming, that can help us tackle mindless consumption.

We are open at the Innovation Hub at the Future Fabrics Expo in London. Here we are showcasing climate-positive microbial colors, a groundbreaking collaboration that combines industrial dyeing techniques with microbial innovation.

A spark at a conference led to a six-month collaboration between us, Post Carbon Lab, and the University of the Arts London. We are excited to present our joint work on microbe-based natural dyes to the world.

A look back at the Future Fabrics Expo in London, the world's largest showcase for sustainable materials. We were proud to present our microbial-based dyes and products in the innovation area, focusing on the future of color.

About this collection

Our presence at the Future Fabrics Expo in London is about bringing research back to the workbench. When we spend months collaborating with labs to develop standardized microbial dye shades, we are building practical solutions that we bring directly back to our studio in Hebbal. Every technique we showcase on a global stage is something our members and students can experiment with right here in Mysore.

For us, staying relevant in the sustainability movement means constant, hands-on R&D. Our global collaborations, such as our work with Post Carbon Lab on climate-positive microbial colors, are not just theoretical projects. They are the same processes, mordants, and natural dye powders we use in our daily workshops.

Connecting Global Research to Your Practice

When you step into our makerspace, you are not just walking into a room with vats and tables. You are entering an environment that is actively connected to the global fashion supply chain.

  • Innovation: We take learnings from international expos and integrate them into our DIY kits and studio training.
  • Technique: Whether it is standardized microbial shades or traditional block printing, we treat every project with scientific curiosity.
  • Access: Our Mysore studio functions as a hub where these global ideas are simplified and taught to beginners, hobbyists, and aspiring designers.

We believe that to make fashion clean and accountable, information must be open-source and accessible. If you have been following our work abroad and want to learn how to apply these eco-conscious methods to your own projects, our makerspace in Hebbal is exactly where you can start. We provide the tools, the mentorship, and the community to help you bridge the gap between intention and action.
