I started Color Ashram because, after teaching natural dyeing, I saw so many folks unsure about how to keep going. This membership is for anyone who wants to turn skills into real, hands-on projects - not just keep learning, but actually making and experimenting.
We’re not just a studio - we’re a bunch of nature lovers and creative types. Our Mysore makerspace is full of artists, textile enthusiasts, aspiring designers, and entrepreneurs. The vibe is super open - you can chill at the Live & Dye Cafe, chat over chai, and swap ideas. It’s all about collaboration and finding your own path.
If you’re determined and curious, this place is for you. Don’t worry if you’re not an expert yet. People like Perine came here, started small, and ended up launching their own clothing line. Everyone starts somewhere - you just need to show up and start creating.

My Story
My Work
All Our Services - Natural dye training, eco-printing workshop, batik, indigo, playback theatre, studio memberships, internships, upcycled clothing service, custom design, DIY kits.
Open Makerspace - Anyone can join - homeschoolers, artists, hobbyists, travelers. Age, background, doesn’t matter. Just bring your energy.
Hands On Learning - We forage, we grind, we stain our hands. It’s about learning by doing, and sometimes unlearning too.
Community & Collaboration - Talks, music, artist jams, ecological days. We connect local and global folks for real conversations and creative work.
Upcycling & Conscious Clothing - Got old clothes? We upcycle and re-dye. Plus, we make organic cotton yoga wear, naturally dyed and climate-friendly.
Innovation in Color - We’ve got one-step dyes, and we’re tinkering with microbial dye innovation. Always searching for easier, greener ways.
