Future Visions: Architectural Models and Renderings
We believe in testing how spaces feel before we break ground. Here is a look at our process, from physical section models to photorealistic renders, as we shape projects across India.
A rendering of an indoor swimming pool for a mid-rise coastal residence in Mumbai. A slatted wood ceiling and large openings to planters create a tranquil, light-filled space with views of the city.
This rendering for a Mumbai residence shows how we integrate nature into high-rise living. A large tree grows within a double-height lounge space, with a circular skylight above and expansive views of the sea.
A rendering of our Office A project in Hyderabad, which has just broken ground. The design features elevated volumes, breezeblock screens, and lush landscaping to create a private yet open workspace.
An architectural drawing showing a section of the Office A project. This illustrates how the building is lifted off the ground to create a permeable and shaded lower level.
A detailed physical section model of the Office A project. We use models like this to understand the spatial relationships, light, and materiality of our designs.
An angled view of the sectional model for Office A, showing the intricate play of volumes, courtyards, and staircases that define the project.
The Office A model can be separated to reveal the full sectional view, providing a complete understanding of the interior circulation and spatial arrangement.
A view of the complete model for Office A, showcasing the building's complex form, textured facades, and rooftop pergolas.
A top-down view of the Office A model, revealing the building's triangular footprint and the arrangement of internal courtyards and lightwells.
A rendering for our Nandi Hills house, which will be built using load-bearing walls made from waste granite off-cuts. The design features a dynamic, angular roofline and large openings to the garden.
About Future Visions: Models & Renders
Before we break ground, we build. Our 4ft scale models and detailed renderings allow us to test the movement of light, the relationship between volumes, and how a structure sits on its site. This is our laboratory for solving complex design challenges, ensuring that by the time construction starts, every material junction and spatial flow is thoroughly understood.
We view every project as a quest to find its hidden story. That quest starts in our studio with physical block models. By crafting these models, we move beyond 2D plans. We get to see how shadows fall across a courtyard, how a bamboo canopy connects to a stone wall, or how a double-height lounge creates ventilation.
Our process is a dialogue. We use these models to walk our clients through the experience of the space long before the first foundation is poured. Whether it is a private office building in Hyderabad or a residence at the base of Nandi Hills, the model is the bridge between our initial sketches and the final built reality.
For projects like our Hyderabad office, the section model was crucial in finalizing how the building would be lifted off the ground to create a permeable, shaded lower level. Similarly, for our coastal residence projects in Mumbai, renders help us map the complex interplay between interior volumes and the external landscape. We believe this rigorous testing, involving site analysis mapping and on-site mock-ups for materials like granite off-cuts or mud blocks, is the only way to ensure the final building feels both functional and grounded in its context.
