About this collection

When you visit for a puja, you do not need to be an expert in ritual or chant. We provide printed Sadhana books with phonetics and English translations, and our sessions are designed to be accessible to everyone, from curious beginners to longtime practitioners. You are welcome to bring simple offerings like fruit or flowers to place on the altar, but just bringing an open heart is more than enough for us.

Our pujas are communal gatherings centered on traditional Tibetan Buddhist practices. We perform deity-specific rituals like the Medicine Buddha practice, known for its focus on physical and mental healing, and Tara Pujas, which are dedicated to overcoming obstacles and generating protection. For those looking to deepen their connection to their spiritual teachers, we regularly hold Guru Puja (Lama Choepa) and Tsok offerings.

What to Expect

These are not silent observances but active, participatory ceremonies. We chant prayers, make offerings, and engage in visualizations guided by our resident teachers or visiting Geshes. The atmosphere in our Domlur centre is focused but relaxed, emphasizing the shared merit we create as a group.

Practical Details

  • Participation: You are free to join us in-person at our Domlur meditation hall or connect online via Zoom. We share links through our WhatsApp community.
  • Offerings: While participation is free, we operate on the kindness of our community. We offer various ways to sponsor the altar—such as butter lamps, flowers, or Tsok feasts—which help maintain our space and support the teachings.
  • Support: We ensure the hall is comfortable with seating options ranging from cushions to chairs. If you are new to the practice, our resident teachers often provide brief explanations of the ritual's purpose at the start of the session.

Our goal is to create a space where you can disconnect from the noise of Bangalore and reconnect with a sense of clarity. Whether you join us for a Medicine Buddha practice to ease physical discomfort or a Guru Puja to express gratitude, you are participating in a tradition that has supported practitioners for centuries.
