About Buddhist Philosophy Courses
Discovering the Dharma Together
At Choe Khor Sum Ling, I see our space as a dharma family where everyone, Buddhist or not, can explore what the Buddha taught. My focus is on making deep ideas from Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism actually fit daily life in Bengaluru or wherever you are.
What We Learn
- Lamrim (stages of the path) is where we start - simple steps, no jargon, just what you need for a steady practice.
- Karma isn’t just theory here. We break it down so you see its role in everyday choices.
- Mind training (Lojong) is all about flipping tough emotions into growth. Sometimes it works slow, but it works.
- We go into emptiness too - not in a spaced-out way, but as a tool for real freedom.
Choose Your Pace
- Lamrim course for beginners: Multi-week basics, very beginner friendly.
- Practical Buddhism Sundays: Drop in, get tools for daily living.
- Deep dives: For those who already read or practice, think Heart Sutra study group and texts from the Nalanda tradition.
How We Meet
- Come to our Bangalore centre (offline), or join via Zoom.
- We run on community generosity. No one’s turned away if funds are tight.
Who’s Teaching
Courses are led by Geshes, senior monks, and teachers connected to the FPMT network. You get the real deal, not watered down.

My Story
Namaste, we’re CKSL, though most friends just call us that. Right in the heart of Bangalore, we started out wanting a peaceful corner to share Buddhist wisdom. Life’s noisy, so we offer a spot to breathe, learn, and just be. Our Dharma Family keeps growing – online, offline, all sorts. Doesn’t matter if you’re new or know your way around a mala, just walk in, bring your folks, or join us from home. All are welcome, always. Bhavatu Sarva Mangalam.
