About Spiritual Community Events

Dharma Family, Real Connections

Being part of Choe Khor Sum Ling is like joining a big spiritual family. I see our Sangha as a place to show up just as you are - long-time practitioners, curious newcomers, or friends dropping by. We’re all walking the Dharma path together, not alone.

Our Big Days

We come together for Buddhist festival celebrations like Losar, Saka Dawa, and Chökhor Düchen. These days are packed with prayers, offerings, and meditation. Everyone - including your family and friends - can join and bring something for the altar if they like. These events get busy, sometimes a bit chaotic, but always meaningful.

Mindful Time Outside

We meet for mindful walking meditation at Cubbon Park, usually Sunday mornings. Nothing fancy - just moving, breathing, and being present with each other. Sometimes we do tree walks or community lunches after teachings. These are chill, good for chatting with teachers or fellow Sangha folks.

Practice & Pitch In

I believe volunteering as spiritual practice is real. Annual clean-ups, helping with festival set-ups, or supporting our sessions - it’s all part of the path. Senior students lead group puja sessions and sutra recitations open to all. Some gatherings stay small, but the vibe is always open.

Where & How

Events mostly happen at our Domlur centre or outside at Cubbon Park. Some are online, some in-person only - depends on the event. Everything’s free; your presence matters most. Donations help, but there’s zero pressure.

Bhavatu Sarva Mangalam (May all be auspicious).

My Story

Namaste, we’re CKSL, though most friends just call us that. Right in the heart of Bangalore, we started out wanting a peaceful corner to share Buddhist wisdom. Life’s noisy, so we offer a spot to breathe, learn, and just be. Our Dharma Family keeps growing – online, offline, all sorts. Doesn’t matter if you’re new or know your way around a mala, just walk in, bring your folks, or join us from home. All are welcome, always. Bhavatu Sarva Mangalam.
