Join us for ancient rituals designed to help quiet the mind, release inner blocks, and deepen your connection to the Divine.
A sacred fire ceremony, or yagya, being performed outdoors at our retreat. We chant powerful mantras like the Gayatri and Mahamrityunjaya as we offer our prayers into the purifying flames.
A devotee participating in a purification ceremony, receiving a blessing from Nayaswami Devi. This simple, powerful ritual is an opportunity to consciously let go of any obstacles and open the heart to God's grace.
A wide view of the purification ceremony during a Sunday Satsang. Devotees stand in a line, waiting to come forward and make their offering of self to the Divine, supported by the prayers of the community.
A devotee kneels to receive a blessing during the purification ceremony. This act of humility and receptivity is a physical gesture that reinforces our inner intention to be purified and guided by the guru.
Another view of our purification ceremony, where devotees stand with hearts open to receive blessings. This ceremony is a regular part of our services, helping us to continually renew our spiritual aspirations.
About this collection
These ceremonies, including the traditional yagya or fire ritual, are held periodically at our retreat center on Kanakapura Road or during special community satsangs. You do not need prior experience to participate, as we guide everyone through the process of offering prayers and mantras into the flames, which serves as a symbolic act of letting go.
In our practice, rituals serve as an outward expression of an inner reality. Whether it is a fire ceremony or a personal purification rite, the goal remains the same: to release limiting attachments and attune our consciousness to grace.
Fire Ceremonies (Yagyas): We gather to chant powerful Sanskrit mantras, such as the Gayatri or Mahamrityunjaya, as we offer symbolic oblations into the consecrated fire. This practice helps to clear the mental clutter that often accumulates in our busy city lives.
Purification Ceremonies: These are often integrated into our Sunday Satsangs or meditation gatherings. A seeker steps forward, and through a simple, reverent blessing, we aim to release past limitations. It is not a spectator event, but a shared experience of vulnerability and renewal.
Join the Sangha: These events are hosted at our centers in Indiranagar and Whitefield, or at our quiet retreat space on Kanakapura Road. If you are looking for a spiritual community in Bangalore where you can practice without pressure, please reach out to attend our next gathering. We are simply fellow travelers sharing a path, and there is always space for one more at our altar.
Ananda Sangha
We are a group of friends walking the Kriya Yoga path, united by the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda. We believe that spiritual growth happens best when shared with others, and our ceremonies are simply ways to bring that inner peace into our daily lives.
