Architectural Features and Industry Recognition
Beyond the blueprints, our work often finds itself in conversation, whether through design journals or architectural forums. Here is a look at the discourse and recognition that have shaped our journey.

Our pro-bono conservation of an 1873 school wing was featured in Architectural Digest and received an AD100 excellence award. We are grateful for the recognition of this project, which was about giving back to the community.
Speaking at Parul University about our design philosophy and approach. It is always a privilege to share our ideas with the next generation of architects and to be inspired by their work.

About In the Press & On the Stage
Our practice has consistently been a subject of architectural study, particularly regarding the conservation of heritage structures like our 1873 school wing project. When these spaces are recognized by platforms like AD100 or Elle Decor, it is not just about the final image but about the hours spent on-site, the structural decisions made to preserve history, and the way light interacts with restored materials. We find that the most valuable part of this public exposure is the dialogue it starts about the role of architects in preserving our built environment.
Architecture, as we practice it, is a slow, iterative process of listening to a site. Whether we are discussing the adaptive reuse of heritage buildings or the design of public spaces at universities like Parul, our goal remains the same: to create architecture that is human-centric and rooted in its context.
Public recognition, such as our inclusion in the AD100 or features in leading design publications, serves as a validation of this philosophy. It confirms that there is a hunger for work that is not just flashy, but deeply considered. It is a privilege to share these lessons through guest lectures and expert classes, where we can engage with the next generation of architects about the challenges and rewards of designing for the Indian context.
If you are looking at our past work—whether it is an educational institution, a residential sanctuary, or a conservation project—you will see a common thread of material honesty and a belief that buildings should evolve with their inhabitants. We continue to welcome opportunities to engage with clients who value this level of inquiry and persistence in their own spaces.
Mathew and Ghosh
I am Soumitro Ghosh, working alongside Nisha Mathew to shape spaces that breathe. We approach every design—from a private home to a heritage restoration—as a slow, meditative journey. We do not chase trends; we look for the inherent story of the site and the people who will call it home.
