Birth Preparation & Body Education

Pregnancy is a biological miracle, not a medical condition. My classes help you replace fear with knowledge, teaching you how your body works so you can approach birth with calm and confidence.

Understanding what’s happening inside your body is incredibly empowering. This is a look at how your organs make space for your baby, showing the amazing adaptability of your body during the third trimester.

Your partner can be your greatest support during labor. I teach practical, hands-on techniques like supported squats, hip squeezes, and sacral pressure to help you manage surges and work together as a team.

I believe every woman is capable of a safe and fulfilling birth. My role is to give you the knowledge and confidence to trust your body, manage your emotions, and let go of fear.

Movement is key to a comfortable pregnancy. I guide you through safe and effective prenatal yoga stretches to release tension, manage common aches like back pain, and keep your body strong for labor.

Visualizing the birth process can be powerful. This animation shows how your pelvis opens to make way for your baby, especially when using upright positions and specific movements we practice in class.

A previous C-section does not automatically mean you need another. This is a real example of a mother who, with a focused nutrition and fitness plan, had a victorious Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC).

I offer a range of online classes and workshops to support you at every stage. From birth preparation and prenatal fitness to postnatal recovery, I am here to guide you.

About this collection

You might think labor is a medical event that happens to you, but it is a physiological process your body is already built for. In my sessions, we look at the anatomy—the pelvic inlet, the baby's position, and the way your muscles respond—so you stop fearing the unknown. Whether you are prepping for a VBAC or your first baby, understanding these mechanics turns 'what if' into 'I know how to handle this.'

Understanding Your Body's Mechanics

Many women come to me thinking birth is a medical emergency waiting to happen. The reality is quite different. When you understand your anatomy, you can work with your body rather than fighting against it. My approach is rooted in Lamaze principles, combining modern science with traditional wisdom to keep you feeling in control.

What We Cover in Sessions

  • Anatomy & Physiology: We look at how your pelvis opens and how the baby descends. When you see the biomechanics behind the process, the mystery disappears, and the fear along with it.
  • Active Movement: Labor is not a static event. I teach you how to use the Miles Circuit, optimal fetal positioning, and specific movements to keep your labor progressing smoothly.
  • The Fear-Tension-Pain Cycle: This is a real physiological cycle. By practicing specific relaxation techniques and breathwork, we interrupt this cycle, allowing your body to produce the oxytocin needed for efficient labor.
  • Partner Support: Your partner is not a bystander. I teach them practical hands-on skills like hip squeezes, sacral pressure, and optimal positioning so they know exactly how to support you when it counts.

Evidence-Based Decision Making

I provide you with the facts so you can ask the right questions of your care provider. Whether we are discussing labor interventions, induction protocols, or recovering from a previous C-section, my goal is for you to make decisions that feel right for you and your baby. This isn't just about exercises, it is about owning your birth experience.
