About Childbirth Education & Labor Preparation
Why I Teach Birth This Way
Birth isn’t a crisis, it’s a powerful, natural process. I see too many families feeling lost because of too much medicalisation and not enough honest info. My classes are for anyone wanting to move from fear of childbirth to feeling genuinely prepared. I want you to be part of every decision, not just a bystander.
What You Get in My Classes
I blend modern Lamaze birth preparation with old-school wisdom from Yoga and Ayurveda. It’s not about a ‘perfect’ birth, but feeling respected and in control. Here’s what we go through:
- Understanding your body’s labor process - all the stages, hormones, and what helps things flow.
- Non-medical pain relief for labor: breathing, movement, ‘hip squeeze,’ birthing ball, and even that lifesaving hot shower.
- Partner support in childbirth - I train your partner to be your real cheerleader, not just a sidekick.
- How to talk to doctors: making sense of interventions, learning to ask questions (using B.R.A.I.N.), and knowing your rights.
- Special VBAC prep for those wanting to try for a vaginal birth after cesarean.
How I Teach
Classes are online, so you can join from anywhere. I teach in English and Kannada (kannadadalli - Kannada). Sessions are flexible, you don’t have to fit into a box.
My biggest hope? By the end, you’ll trust your own instincts and feel ready for whatever your birth brings.

My Story
We’re CalmBirth India. You know, so many folks come to us scared about birth, thinking it’s all doctors and drama. That’s not how we see it. Birth is wild, powerful, and honestly, your body knows what to do. We started this because we saw too many families left in the dark, not knowing their choices. We want you and your partner to feel ready—calm, confident, and in charge. No more fear, just trust.
My Work
All-round support from bump to baby - We do Lamaze birth prep, prenatal yoga for pregnant women, mindful eating, labor comfort measures workshop, and newborn care.
Real info, not just exercises - Classes bust myths, explain labor, your rights, and medical stuff, so you make decisions feeling sure, not scared.
Partners matter - We guide your support team to step up—knowing how to help, advocate, and stay chill when it counts.
Trust your body, trust the process - Birth’s not a crisis. We help you let go, trust yourself and your baby, and meet each contraction as progress.
