Knee, hip, and ankle pain often stem from hidden muscle imbalances, not just the injury itself. I look beyond the surface to strengthen your foundation and restore pain-free movement.

Strong core muscles are essential for knee health. This video demonstrates exercises like straight leg raises and wall squats with a ball to build stability from the core down to the knees.

Knee pain when climbing stairs is a common issue I address. This video demonstrates a few key exercises, like the clam shell and wall squats, that I prescribe to strengthen the muscles supporting the knee, improve joint stability, and make daily movements pain free.

A torn ACL is a common knee injury, especially for athletes. This infographic explains the causes, symptoms, and treatment options, where physical therapy plays a crucial role in recovery.

This infographic provides 10 key facts about ACL injuries, highlighting risk factors and the importance of preventative training and proper rehabilitation.

Plantar fasciitis, or heel pain, can be debilitating. I teach exercises like bridging with a heel raise and toe walking to strengthen the foot and calf muscles, providing relief.

This image introduces my sprained ankle rehab program. Once swelling has reduced, we can begin exercises to build back flexibility and strength.

An ankle sprain occurs when ligaments are overstretched or torn. This diagram shows the specific ligaments commonly affected.

About this collection

Often, what feels like 'knee pain' is actually a weakness in your glutes or poor ankle stability. During your initial assessment, I use goniometers and functional movement screens to pinpoint exactly where your chain of support is breaking down, so we can stop guessing and start correcting the root cause.

When you come to me with joint pain, we don't just treat the area that hurts. Whether you are recovering from an ACL tear, managing chronic plantar fasciitis, or struggling with hip stiffness, we approach your body as a single, connected system.

My approach combines clinical physiotherapy with targeted Pilates. This is vital because a stiff hip often forces the knee to compensate, leading to inflammation and injury. I use hands-on modalities like Myofascial Release (MFR) to address deep tissue restrictions and cupping therapy to improve blood flow, but the real work happens in movement.

We focus on restoring your range of motion first. If you are dealing with a sprained ankle, we move from initial RICE therapy to structured exercises that improve proprioception and joint stability. If your knee pain is triggered by climbing stairs, we investigate your VMO (Vastus Medialis Oblique) strength and glute engagement.

My goal is to give you a clear roadmap for recovery. We will work on your posture, muscle activation, and functional strength so you can return to your daily activities, sports, or simple walking without the constant fear of pain. Whether you choose to visit my Vidyaranyapura studio for 1-on-1 sessions on the reformer or need home visits in North Bengaluru, we will build a plan that fits your life.

I'm Dr. Bhavana. After completing my Masters in the UK, I started this studio because I saw too many people getting temporary patches for pain that just kept coming back. I treat the body as one connected system, so whether it's an old ACL tear or stubborn plantar fasciitis, we work to fix the underlying mechanics, not just the pain.
