Clinical Physio-Pilates and Rehabilitation Programs
We combine physiotherapy with Pilates to identify the root cause of your pain, building functional strength and mobility that lasts.
My approach to geriatric fitness is centered on safe, effective, and purposeful movement. This video demonstrates a series of low-impact exercises, including seated bicep curls and supported squats, designed to build functional strength, improve balance, and enhance mobility for healthy aging.
It is a privilege to guide clients like renowned actress Ms. Shanti Krishna on their wellness journey. In this video, she shares her experience of regaining flexibility, core strength, and balance through my specialized physio-pilates program, highlighting how it has improved her confidence and posture.
Knee pain when climbing stairs is a common issue that I address frequently. It often stems from muscle weakness or poor joint mechanics, not just age. This video shows targeted exercises like clam shells and wall squats that I use to strengthen the supporting muscles around the knee, reducing pain and improving stability.
Here, I am guiding a client through a lunge on the Pilates reformer. This demonstrates my hands-on, personalized approach, ensuring every movement is performed with correct form and alignment to maximize benefits and prevent injury, which is central to my physio-pilates method.
I often explain to my clients that "muscle is medicine." This infographic illustrates a core principle of my practice: building and maintaining muscle mass is one of the most effective strategies to protect against age-related metabolic decline, frailty, and chronic disease.
Welcome to my Body & Mind Physio & Pilates Studio. I have designed this space to be clean, calming, and fully equipped with specialized tools like Pilates reformers, stability balls, and TRX suspension trainers to support your unique rehabilitation and fitness goals.
Daily stretching is essential for maintaining mobility and reducing stiffness. This video showcases a routine of essential stretches for the neck, back, and hips that can be easily incorporated into your day to improve flexibility and promote relaxation.
About this collection
Before we begin any exercise program, we conduct a 60-minute clinical assessment. We don't just look at your pain; we analyze your gait, balance, joint range of motion, and medical history. This allows us to build a customized recovery roadmap that treats your specific condition rather than applying a generic fitness routine.
Our Approach: Physio Meets Pilates
Most traditional fitness centers treat the body as a machine to be pushed harder. At our studio in Vidyaranyapura, we view the body as a complex system. We blend clinical physiotherapy—focused on pain relief, manual therapy, and structural alignment—with Pilates, which emphasizes core control, breath, and stabilization.
Why This Works for Chronic Pain
Pain often stems from compensatory patterns. If your hip is weak, your knee overcompensates, leading to strain. We use specialized equipment like the Reformer, Trapeze Table, and Stability Chair to support your joints while we strengthen the smaller, stabilizing muscles often missed in standard training. This approach is particularly effective for:
- Geriatric Mobility: Improving balance and fall prevention for older adults.
- Post-Surgery Recovery: Safe, guided rehabilitation after knee or hip replacements.
- Chronic Condition Management: Specific protocols for Parkinson’s, Osteoarthritis, and recurring back or neck stiffness.
Building Your Foundation
We believe in education. You will understand why you are doing a specific movement and how it affects your body’s healing process. Our sessions are always supervised, meaning we monitor your breathing, fatigue, and form in real-time. Whether you are dealing with a specific injury or simply want to improve your posture and prevent metabolic decline, we ensure every session is safe, intentional, and measurable.
Our goal is to help you regain your independence and confidence so you can return to the activities that matter to you without the constant fear of pain.
Body & Mind PhysioPilates Studio
