Traditional Yoga and Ayurveda Immersion in Mysore
Experience deep restoration and authentic Hatha yoga on our riverside organic farm. Discover a path to mind-body balance, far from the noise of city life.
Welcome to AyurYoga Eco-Ashram, our serene home on the banks of the River Kabini. Situated on 18 acres of organic farmland, this is a place to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with yourself through the authentic practice of yoga and Ayurveda.
We take our practice into nature whenever we can. Here, our teacher training students find their focus and flexibility during an asana session on our riverside patio, connecting their breath with the gentle sounds of the water.
Every teacher training course begins with a traditional Puja ceremony. This sacred fire ritual, led by a local priest, is performed to remove obstacles and invoke blessings, setting a powerful and positive intention for the journey ahead.
"It's authentic yoga." Hear from Toby, a graduate of our 200-hour YTT, as he shares why he chose our ashram. He speaks about the hands-on training, the permaculture farm, and the spiritual practice that made his experience so meaningful.
In our asana workshops, we provide personalized adjustments to help you safely deepen your practice. Here, a teacher assists a student with alignment in Sirshasana (Headstand), ensuring stability and proper form in this challenging inversion.
We believe in living what we teach, and that starts with the food that nourishes us. This video shows the life cycle of okra on our organic farm, from a tiny pod to a bountiful harvest that will soon be part of a delicious, wholesome meal for our community.
Connection is at the heart of our ashram. Our students and teachers gather in a circle for a closing ceremony, sharing gratitude and reflections after a month of intensive learning and growth together in nature.
Our classroom is often the great outdoors. Students in our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training take a theory class under the shade of a large fig tree, with the river providing a peaceful backdrop for deep learning and discussion.
The vibrant presence of a peacock, India's national bird, is a common and cherished sight at our ashram. These majestic birds often wander through our gardens, their beauty serving as a reminder of our deep connection with the natural world.
Alicia, a graduate of our 300-hour advanced training, shares her heartfelt recommendation. She speaks about the incredible nature, the high-quality teaching, and the wonderful international community that made her experience unforgettable.
About Featured
Living here means unplugging. We enforce a strict digital detox with limited connectivity to ensure you stay fully present in our 14-hour daily routine. This is not just about asanas; it is a full immersion into the rhythms of our medicinal forest, where the herbs for your treatments are harvested just steps from your eco-hut.
Our ashram is more than a training facility; it is a living ecosystem along the banks of the River Kabini. We created this space to strip away the distractions of modern life, allowing students to reconnect with the roots of Hatha yoga and Ayurveda.
Every stay is fully residential, built around a community of like-minded souls. Your days here are structured but spacious, beginning with traditional puja ceremonies and moving through rigorous practice sessions in our open-air shalas. We operate as a self-sustaining eco-ashram, meaning the vegetarian meals you eat are grown right here on our 18-acre organic farm. When you participate in an Ayurvedic therapy, the herbs used—like Neem and Amla—are picked fresh from our surrounding forest.
We specialize in Yoga Alliance accredited 200-hour and 300-hour programs, but our real curriculum is the ashram life itself. Beginners and advanced teachers alike come here to step out of their comfort zones. Whether you are walking through our medicinal gardens, swimming in the river, or sitting under our fig tree for philosophy discussions, you are learning that yoga is not just what happens on a mat; it is how you live. If you are seeking honest transformation rather than a luxury getaway, our gates are open.
