Deepen your practice with residential continuing education programs in Mysore. Gain professional credentials and practical teaching tools in our supportive, nature-focused riverside ashram.

We are pleased to offer a Yin Yang Yoga Retreat led by experienced teachers Marcela Frey and Kali Buttrick. This residential program is designed for deep psychological and physical release and is eligible for Yoga Alliance continuing education hours.

Meet Kali Buttrick, a licensed therapist specializing in trauma. A graduate of our 200-hour YTT, Kali returns to lead trainings on how to use yoga and nature as powerful tools for healing in clinical and therapeutic settings.

A serendipitous meeting at our ashram led to a powerful collaboration. Teachers Marcela and Kali bonded over the healing effects of yoga and now create retreats that offer a safe space for others to heal and grow.

Introducing Marcela Frey, an expert Yin Yoga teacher with 35 years of experience. Having trained with iconic teachers and completed her 300-hour YTT with us, Marcela brings a deep understanding of both yin and yang practices to her retreats.

Meet Marcela Frey, a senior Yin Yoga teacher and educator with over 35 years of experience. She specializes in releasing tension through physical shapes and breathwork, blending traditional wisdom with modern therapeutic applications.

This training provides the confidence to teach Yin Yoga and offers an immersive experience in our peaceful, riverside ashram. It is an opportunity for deep rest, personal transformation, and profound reconnection with your body and mind.

About Specialized & Continuing Education

Our continuing education courses are fully residential, meaning you will step away from the noise of daily life to fully immerse yourself in learning. You will not find city distractions here; instead, our digital-detox environment allows you to focus entirely on your craft, sharing farm-to-table meals and study sessions with a community of fellow teachers right by the river.

For yoga teachers looking to expand their toolkit, our continuing education programs (YACEP) offer a bridge between traditional wisdom and modern application. These short-term, intensive courses are designed to help you integrate specialized knowledge into your existing teaching practice.

Yin Yoga Teacher Training

Led by senior teacher Marcela Frey, who brings over 35 years of experience, our Yin Yoga program focuses on the anatomical and energetic aspects of the practice. You will study meridian theory, connective tissue anatomy, and the art of sequencing long-held postures. This course is about learning to teach stillness—helping your students find release and nervous system regulation in a fast-paced world.

Trauma-Informed Yoga

This training is essential for teachers and healthcare professionals aiming to create safer, more inclusive spaces. Facilitated by psychotherapist Kali Buttrick, we move beyond theory to explore the neuroscience of trauma, Polyvagal Theory, and the window of tolerance. You will learn practical, evidence-based tools to foster autonomy and interoception in your students, ensuring your classes support healing rather than just physical exercise.

Why Train With Us?

Being Yoga Alliance accredited, our programs provide valid continuing education hours, but the value goes beyond the certificate. Because we are an ashram built on a riverside organic farm, your training is accompanied by a change in lifestyle. You will practice in open-air halls, eat vegetarian meals grown on our land, and live in eco-huts built from local materials. This environment is intentionally simple—no AC, no constant connectivity—allowing you to return to your students with a clearer perspective and a deeper sense of presence.
