Yoga Practice Sessions and Studio Life
A glimpse into the daily rhythm of our Janakpuri studio. Whether you are finding your balance or refining a posture, these moments reflect our path toward wellness together.
A memory from our practice sessions in September 2022, capturing the focus and dedication of our students.
About Additional Work
You will notice we rely heavily on props like blocks, straps, and wall ropes in these clips. This is because we prioritize spinal safety and correct alignment over mastering a pose quickly. Whether you are finding your balance or refining a deep backbend, these tools allow you to progress at a pace that is right for your body.
Yoga is often misunderstood as a practice that requires prior flexibility. My goal at Ayukshema Yoga Studio is to change that narrative. These clips capture our students working through various stages of their practice, demonstrating that progress is not about perfection, but about showing up consistently.
Our Approach to Practice
We integrate different styles—from Hatha and Vinyasa flow to Iyengar-inspired techniques—to address the needs of every student.
- Physical Alignment: We use chairs, belts, and wall ropes to help you understand your body's geometry. This reduces the risk of injury and makes difficult poses accessible for those with stiffness or chronic pain.
- Beyond the Asana: Our sessions are not just about burning calories. We incorporate pranayama and short meditation periods to help you manage stress, hormonal imbalances like PCOS, and overall mental clarity.
Whether you are a beginner taking your first steps or someone looking to deepen your practice with advanced inversions, our space in Janakpuri is designed to support you. We focus on the Sthoola sharir (the physical body) to eventually impact the Sookshma sharir (subtle body).
If you have been waiting for the right time to start, remember: yoga is for the willing, not the perfect. Come as you are, and let us help you build a stronger, calmer foundation.
Bharti
Namaste, I am Dr. Bharti. My approach is simple: yoga is not for the flexible, it is for the willing. In our studio, we strip away the performance and focus on how you feel. We are here to guide your practice, step by step, honoring exactly where you are today.
