From raw timber to finished furniture, these projects demonstrate the journey from technical design to physical creation at our Bangalore workshop.

This elegant slatted bench, crafted by our students, showcases their ability to execute a design from concept to a fully functional, polished product.

The final project of our diploma students: a mobile storage cabinet featuring solid pine drawer fronts and door, showcasing skills in both solid wood and panel processing.

A side view of the student-made cabinet, showing the contrast between the dark grey panel body and the warm, natural grain of the finished pine wood.

This mobile cabinet, complete with multiple drawers and a cupboard section, is a testament to the comprehensive furniture-making skills our students acquire.

A versatile collapsible table made by our students. This view shows the table in its lower, coffee-table height configuration.

The same student-made table, now with its legs extended to function as a dining table, demonstrating clever design and skilled execution.

A classic deck chair built with solid wood, a popular student project that teaches angled cuts, joinery, and assembly for outdoor furniture.

About this collection

These pieces are the direct result of our one-year diploma program, where students progress from conceptual engineering drawings to building fully functional furniture. You will see projects ranging from complex solid wood armchairs to modular storage units, all constructed using a blend of industrial CNC machinery and traditional manual joinery techniques.

Our workshop philosophy centres on the belief that real skill is developed through hands-on practice, not just theory. In this gallery, you see work from our students who spend their days learning how to translate 3D models into physical products.

The Process Behind the Pieces

Every project starts in our design lab. Students use software like PYTHA, CAD, and CATIA to create precise engineering drawings before a single piece of wood is cut. Once the design is validated, the work moves to the shop floor. Here, students learn to operate heavy industrial machinery, including Biesse and Homag CNC routers, alongside manual tools for intricate tasks.

Skill Development

  • Design to Fabrication: Translating CAD designs into 3D objects using panel processing techniques.
  • Joinery & Assembly: Creating stable structures without relying on screws, focusing on mortise and tenon or modular connectors.
  • Finishing: Learning the patience required for proper sanding, staining, and coating to achieve professional-grade results.

Industrial Readiness

This work goes beyond classroom exercises. Our students prepare for the industry by working with diverse materials—from pine and teak to plywood and laminates. This comprehensive training is paired with a mandatory six-month industrial attachment, ensuring that when students graduate, they understand how furniture is produced on a factory floor. If you are interested in pursuing a career in woodworking, furniture design, or CNC operations, our diploma program provides the technical foundation and workshop experience required to succeed.
