Industry Ready: Factory Visits and Placements
Woodworking is not just about what you make in the lab. We take you to the factory floor to show you how professional production really works, ensuring our diploma students are ready for the industry from day one.

Students listen intently during a briefing at a partner factory. These visits provide invaluable insight into industry practices and career opportunities.
A group of students observes a presentation in a factory setting, bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world production.
Students get an up-close look at a high-tech drilling machine during a factory visit, seeing the industrial application of the technology they learn in our workshop.
About this collection
During our one-year diploma, we do not just keep you in the workshop. The second half of your training is a mandatory six-month industrial internship with partners like Featherlite, where you get hands-on experience with production workflows, commercial CNC operations, and factory standards before you even graduate.
Theory serves a purpose, but real-world competency comes from standing on a factory floor. In our diploma program, we bridge the gap between classroom training and professional output through structured industry exposure.
Why Factory Exposure Matters
Operating a CNC router in a controlled training environment is very different from managing production in a high-volume factory. During these visits, students observe how professional shops maintain quality control, manage material waste, and organize the production line for efficiency. You get to see the actual scale of machinery, including Biesse and Homag units, used in commercial furniture manufacturing.
Integrating with Industry
Our partnership model ensures that students understand the ecosystem of furniture design. The six-month internship phase is not just observation; it is active participation. You spend your days learning how to handle industrial tooling, understand assembly line logistics, and work alongside professional carpenters and technicians.
Career Support
We provide placement support to help you transition from student to professional. Whether you aim to work in large-scale modular furniture manufacturing or specialized interior design firms, the exposure gained during your internship provides the practical experience that employers look for. By the time you complete your diploma, you have already navigated the environment of a real factory, making you an asset to any workshop or production house you join.
