I was thrilled to be chosen as the face of Spotify’s official Tabla playlist and to collaborate on the 'Echo' project. The overwhelming success of our track 'Kautilya' proves the power of Indian classical music to connect with audiences worldwide.
This poster is for an Indo-Jazz gig, where I collaborated with some amazing jazz musicians. I love creating fusion music that blends the intricate rhythms of tabla with different world genres, creating something fresh and exciting for the audience.
A precious memory of me playing with the lion of Indian classical music, Pandit Ravi Shankar, when I was just 16. Learning from and performing with such a master was a foundational experience in my musical journey.
About Artistic Collaborations & Performances
My performances rely on the live dialogue between instruments, whether I am sharing the stage with a jazz saxophonist, a classical vocalist, or a full orchestra. Rather than a static set, I build each performance around the specific energy of the room, using raga-based improvisations and complex rhythmic cycles that adapt to the audience. Whether you are hosting a formal concert or an intimate corporate event, I ensure the technical setup—especially microphone placement for the Tabla—preserves the purity of the sound.
My work in artistic collaboration stems from the belief that rhythm is a bridge between different musical worlds. Over the years, I have moved from traditional jugalbandis with masters like Pt. Ravi Shankar to modern projects like Spotify’s 'Echo' and Indo-Jazz fusion gigs.
