Why I Play

Tabla is my voice. It's how I share stories, devotion, even memories of my gurus and parents. Music for me is not just notes - it’s connection, healing, and a piece of my heart.

What My Performances Feel Like

Every show is different. If you want pure classical, I offer solo tabla sets, sometimes duets or trios with legends like Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia and Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. Each concert dives deep into the traditional compositions from six Gharanas, perfect for those who live and breathe Indian classical.

I also love creating conceptual shows where rhythm meets storytelling. Like my “Ramayan on Tabla” - the epic tale told through music, poetry, and vocals. Or “Shiv Shakti”, a musical journey into the dance of Purush and Prakruti energies. My “Tablas Sing Stories” format lets me use the tabla to actually narrate tales - not something you see every day.

Stree Shakti & Fusion Collabs

With Stree Shakti (Woman Power), I started the world’s first all-female Indian classical band. We’ve played everywhere from WOMAD in the UK to stages back home in Bharat. It’s about breaking barriers and showing what women can do in music.

I’m always up for fusion music collaborations - mixing Indian rhythms with Jazz, Western Classical, or Rajasthani Folk. From the Dior Fall '23 show in Mumbai to representing India at Woodstock, I like creating new soundscapes that cross borders.

For Any Event

Based in Mumbai, but I play worldwide. Whether it’s a small gathering, a festival, college show, or a corporate event, I can tailor the vibe. Music can be as intimate, grand, or experimental as you want.
