Rhythm knows no boundaries. Whether it's a high-energy corporate stage or an intimate jazz setting, I bring the tabla into new, spontaneous conversations with global genres.

A group photo with the amazing artist Bombay Mami and fellow musicians after our performance at the NBA event. It was a blast lending my tabla to her hip-hop tracks.

A beautiful moment of musical synergy with the talented Susan Mazer on the jazz harp. The combination of tabla and harp creates a truly unique and ethereal sound.

A wide shot of our 'Jazz meets Kathak' ensemble on the grand stage of the Royal Opera House, Mumbai. The group included woodwinds, harp, percussion, and my tabla.

A video of a random jam session with a guitarist after our judging duties at a college festival. Spontaneous music-making is one of the purest joys.

Ganpati Bappa Morya! A festive video where I'm grooving on some Dhol-Tasha inspired rhythms on the tabla, paying homage to the great Ustad Taufiq Qureshi ji.

The view from my tabla set at the BudXNBA event in Mumbai. Playing for a massive, energetic crowd in a stadium setting is an electrifying experience.

A backstage selfie with my tablas and my notes before the hip-hop fusion show at the Dome. Preparation is key for every single performance.

Another view of the packed audience at the BudX Master event. The energy from the crowd was incredible, and it was fun to bring Indian rhythm to this modern setting.

With fellow musicians at a spectacular corporate event in Hyderabad. I had the pleasure of performing with Tansen Music for this world music show.

About Fusion & World Music Collaborations

When I collaborate, I don't just sit in the background. Whether I am playing alongside a jazz harp, jamming with hip-hop artists, or adding texture to a corporate set, I focus on the interplay between my rhythm and the other artists' melodies. I listen and respond in real-time, which means your event gets a unique, improvised soundscape rather than a standard, pre-recorded loop.

Bringing Tabla to New Spaces

Music is a language, and the tabla is a versatile speaker. I love exploring the intersections where Indian rhythm meets global sound. Over the years, I have found that the tabla adapts beautifully to diverse settings, from the intricate timing required in Jazz fusion to the raw, punchy beats needed for Hip-Hop and modern corporate events.

My Hybrid Approach

To fit modern stages, I often use a hybrid setup. I pair the traditional tabla with a Cajon and various shakers. This combination allows me to provide the authentic Indian textures that traditionalists appreciate, while simultaneously hitting the broader, more driving grooves that wedding bands, DJs, and fusion ensembles require.

Where I Perform

I am based in Mumbai, but my music takes me to stages across India and beyond. I am comfortable in a wide range of environments:

  • Corporate & Private Events: High-energy sets that work well with DJs, bands, or as ambient entertainment.
  • Festival Stages: Where I can lean into complex, improvised solos.
  • Concert Halls: Such as the Royal Opera House, where acoustics allow for subtle, intricate playing.

Working Together

Whether you have a clear vision for a performance or you are just looking for a unique rhythmic element to elevate your event, I am happy to experiment. If you have a guitarist, a DJ, or an ensemble in mind, let's chat about how we can make the rhythm work for your specific space and vibe.

I see my tabla as a bridge, not a barrier, connecting traditional Indian rhythms with whatever the moment calls for. I am happiest when I am on stage, improvising with new sounds and learning from the musicians I share space with. My goal is simple: to make sure the music feels alive and meaningful for every listener in the room.
