Boxing Technique Drills in Peenya
We don't do fancy. We do drills. From stance to pivots, we build your fight game from the ground up until it is second nature.
Working the heavy bag is about more than just power. It's about rhythm, footwork, and endurance. Every punch is a story of sweat and grit.
A fighter practices keeping his guard tight while throwing combinations on the heavy bag. This drill builds muscle memory for defense.
The heavy bag doesn't hit back, but it tells you the truth about your power and stamina. Our boxers spend countless rounds here perfecting their craft.
Two boxers work in unison, one on the bag and the other practicing shadow boxing. The entire gym is a place of constant learning and movement.
Partner drills to sharpen reflexes and combinations. These "big dawgs" are working on their timing and power together.
Working the pads is about precision and speed. I'm drilling combinations with this fighter, sharpening his accuracy with every punch.
Jab drills with the team. The jab is the most important punch in boxing, and we practice it relentlessly to make it fast, sharp, and effective.
About this collection
Most gyms let you mindlessly punch a bag for an hour, but that won't make you a fighter. Here, we spend rounds obsessing over the snap of your jab and the angle of your pivot. If your form is sloppy, we fix it—not with long lectures, but with repetition until it is clean. You aren't here to burn calories; you are here to learn how to box.
Technique is the foundation of everything. If you cannot hold your guard, you will get hit. If you cannot pivot, you will get trapped. In our Peenya facility, we strip away the noise. There are no mirrors and no air conditioning, just the heavy bags, the mats, and the work.
The Core Drills
- The Jab: This is your primary weapon. We drill it until your shoulder burns and your accuracy is surgical. You learn to control distance and set up every other punch.
- Footwork & Pivots: You cannot hit what you cannot reach. We teach you how to move your feet to cut angles, escape the ropes, and create power from the ground up.
- Defensive Slips: Getting hit hurts. Slipping punches without taking your eyes off the opponent is the difference between a amateur and a skilled boxer. We drill these movements until they are reactive.
This is not a place for hobbyists who want to play at boxing. Whether you are coming in for a drop-in session or joining the monthly group program, you are expected to respect the craft. We keep classes focused, the environment industrial, and the coaching personal. If you are ready to stop guessing and start training properly, you know where we are.
Anthony's Boxing Club
I started this gym in Nagasandra from cracked floors because I wanted a place where the work actually means something. I don't care about your fitness trends or your expensive gear. You want to learn how to box? You show up, you listen, and you put in the hours. If you are ready to earn it, I will back you all the way.
