About this collection
When I convert your saree, I do not just cut fabric. I respect the original border, the weave, and the memories attached to it. Whether it is a delicate crepe silk or a classic Kanchivaram, I ensure the fit is impeccable, adding padding and structure so your outfit feels as comfortable as it is grand.
Your Saree, Reimagined
Many of us have sarees tucked away in a cupboard—maybe it is a Kanchivaram from your wedding or an heirloom from your amma. They are too special to give away, but you rarely wear them as sarees. That is where I come in. At Anthariya, I help you turn those memories into a Langa Voni or a half saree that you will actually wear and enjoy.
The Process
It is not just about stitching. It is a slow, thoughtful process. We begin by carefully unpicking the original saree to maximize the use of the border.
- Fabric Care: I analyze the fabric sensitivity. If it is a delicate crepe, we keep the work light. If it is sturdy silk, we can go bolder.
- Perfect Fit: Every outfit features custom-tailored skirts with canvas belts for structure, padded blouses with princess cuts, and professional finishing, including YKK zippers and sweat pads.
- Hand-Work: We use only hand embroidery—zardozi, aari, or simple thread work—to ensure the finish is clean and authentic. No machine work here.
Why Convert?
Whether you need a traditional look for a Beeguroota or a reception, a conversion is often more meaningful than buying something off the rack. It is sustainable, personal, and completely unique to you. From mother-daughter twinning sets to modern Indo-Western gown transformations, we handle it all with the same care and attention to detail. Let us sit together, sketch your vision, and create something beautiful.
