About Additional Work
People often ask me if their old saree can really be turned into something fresh. My answer is always yes, but it comes down to how we treat the fabric. For heavy silk or delicate crepe, I carefully decide whether we do aari embroidery or simple thread work so the material does not tear or sag. It is never just about cutting fabric; it is about preserving the life of your saree while giving it a new purpose.
This collection is a mix of what we do best—transforming cherished sarees into outfits you will actually wear. Whether you have a heavy silk that feels too stiff or a soft crepe that needs light handling, I help you reimagine it.
Why My Process is Different
- No Mass Production: Every piece is cut and stitched by hand. When you bring an old saree, I do not just chop it up. I work with the existing borders and pallu to create the most flattering lehenga or gown.
- Personal Touch: From the sweetheart necklines you see in these photos to the intricate back cutouts, every detail is decided with you.
- Quality Over Speed: We use high-quality butter crepe or cotton shantoon linings. Even for children's wear, I make sure the fabric is comfortable, using soft linings so the zari borders do not irritate their skin.
- Timely Delivery: I know these outfits are for festivals, weddings, or special occasions. We are very strict about deadlines so you never have to worry about your outfit being ready.
Whether you want a simple, elegant blouse for a casual event or a heavy Maggam-work lehenga for a wedding, come visit our studio in Naagarabhaavi. Let us sit together and plan something beautiful.
