About Saree Upcycling & Outfit Conversion
Sarees with a Story
Every saree means something. Sometimes it's amma’s (mom’s) old wedding saree, sometimes it's a soft silk that's too special to give away. What I do? I help you turn those memories into something new you actually want to wear.
How We Work Together
- We’ll chat about what you want. You send inspiration pics or just talk about your ideas, and I’ll suggest what works for your saree’s fabric and colours.
- Bring your own saree, or I can help find one from my silk collection if you need.
- You’ll get updates at every step. Photos, sketches, even bead choices—nothing is a surprise.
What Can Your Saree Become?
- Lehengas or langa vonis (half-sarees) from your old saree? That’s my jam.
- Fancy an Indo-Western twist? I turn sarees into elegant gowns too.
- Want matching outfits for you and your daughter? We do that, and it's always cute.
Details Matter
- Only hand embroidery—zardozi, aari, pearls, whatever suits your saree, but never machine work.
- I pay attention to fabric type. If it’s delicate, I’ll keep the work light. If it's sturdy, we can go bold.
- You get a well-fitted blouse, kuchu (tassel) finishing, and sometimes a matching belt.
