Our Design Process: From Initial Sketch to Finished Outfit
We believe fashion is not mass production. Take a look at how we collaborate with you to create your unique, custom outfit.
This is where the magic begins. I love sitting down with my clients, surrounded by fabrics and sketches, to bring their vision to life. It's a collaborative and personal process.
Ellarigu namaskara! I'm excited to announce the launch of Anthariya Silks and Sarees, where I handpick every saree myself. You can now choose a saree from my collection for your custom outfit.
Many of you asked about the saree used for a trending langa voni. Here it is! I'm showing the full saree, its beautiful puppet motifs, and explaining how it can be worn as is or converted.
"Everybody deserves to look beautiful." In this video, I'm showcasing a collection designed for a non-bridal client, because you don't need to be a bride to wear a grand outfit.
Here, I'm explaining the design choices for a client's order, including why we chose specific embroidery for a delicate crepe silk saree versus a sturdy Kanjivaram.
This client purchased a saree from my collection and had us design the blouse and tassels. I'm showing the final coordinated set before it gets delivered.
This special blouse was designed for my dear friend in London. She is obsessed with butterflies, so we incorporated butterfly motifs into the embroidery and even the saree tassels.
About this collection
It all starts with a chat. Whether you visit the studio or connect online, we begin by looking at your fabric. If you bring a delicate crepe silk, we will not push for heavy zardozi that might weigh it down. We discuss your vision, look at sketches together, and decide on the embroidery technique that actually suits the material you have.
Designing an outfit is not just about the final look, it is about the journey we take to get there. Whether you are transforming a cherished family heirloom or starting fresh with a new saree from our collection, the process is built on collaboration.
We start with a conversation. We discuss your style and look at the fabric texture to determine the best approach. If the fabric is delicate, we avoid harsh techniques, opting instead for intricate hand embroidery like aari or thread work that respects the weave. If the fabric is sturdy, we can explore bolder zardozi patterns.
Nothing is a surprise. You are involved in every step, from approving design sketches to selecting the exact bead colours. We manage every detail at our Nagarbhavi studio, ensuring that every piece, from the lehenga skirt construction to the final kuchu finishing, is handled with care.
We do not believe in mass production. Each piece is crafted by hand, ensuring you get a unique outfit tailored to your specific measurements and preferences. We work with clients both locally in Bangalore and across India, maintaining the same standard of quality and timely delivery for every single order.
