Kids bring a raw, unfiltered energy to the mat. I teach traditional Hatha Yoga to help them find balance, improve their focus, and discover a bit of quiet amidst their busy school days.

A collage from one of my children's yoga classes. We learn powerful practices like Surya Shakti in a way that is accessible and enjoyable for young minds.

Ending the year with the vibrant energy of these young yogis. Their enthusiasm is infectious, and they teach me as much as I teach them.

A fun group photo with the kids. The goal is to introduce them to yoga as a joyful process, a tool they can use for the rest of their lives.

About Yoga for Children (Ages 7-13)

Parents often tell me their children wake up on their own at 5 am to get ready for class. That surprises even me, but it shows how naturally kids take to these practices when they are shown the right way. We do not just do simple stretches. We learn sequences like Surya Shakti that help them build physical stability and a calm mind. It is less about fitness goals and more about helping them channel their energy into something that stays with them long after the class ends.

In these sessions, we move away from the idea of yoga as just physical exercise or a way to get flexible. For children aged 7 to 13, I focus on classical Hatha Yoga practices designed to build physical strength and mental clarity. It is a space where playfulness meets discipline.

I introduce kids to Surya Shakti, a dynamic 21-step routine that helps with overall physical balance. Unlike adult sessions, the pace here is adjusted. We break down the complex geometry of postures into movements they can easily understand and enjoy. My aim is not to create little athletes, but to give them a tool they can carry into their teens, a sense of stillness and focus that helps them navigate the pressures of school and daily life.

Classes are held at my studio in HRBR Layout or at community halls across Bengaluru. The atmosphere is traditional and silent, with no music and no mirrors. It is just the child, the practice, and the process of learning something new. If you are looking to help your child improve their concentration, memory, and physical stability through ancient Yogic sciences, this is the path we walk together.

I am Bhau. Yoga changed my life, and I find so much joy in sharing that same magic with children. I am just here to guide them, and honestly, they teach me as much as I teach them.
