It has been my deep honor to share the ancient science of Classical Hatha Yoga with the brave men and women of the Indian Army and Air Force, helping them find stillness amidst their service.

A group of 64 Jawans from the Indian Army after completing their Hatha Yoga training program at the Isha Yoga Center. It is a privilege to equip them with tools for inner wellbeing.

I feel a deep sense of purpose watching over a session with our soldiers. My role is simply to transmit the ancient science of yoga as purely as possible.

The focus and discipline of the Jawans is incredible. Here, they are fully absorbed in an asana, building physical stability and mental fortitude.

A moment of connection with the Jawans and my fellow instructors at the Air Force Station. The camaraderie and sense of purpose here is immense.

Receiving a token of appreciation from the Indian Air Force is a moment I cherish. My deepest gratitude is to my Guru for making this work possible.

About Yoga for Our Jawans: Indian Army & Air Force

These are not standard fitness sessions. When I work with the Indian Army and Air Force, the focus shifts entirely to mental stability, breath, and inner calm. We work on building a quiet mind that remains steady, even when the demands of service are at their highest.

I have had the privilege of conducting Classical Hatha Yoga training at the Isha Yoga Center and Air Force Station in Agra. These sessions are different from the ones I lead in city studios. I live, eat, and train alongside the soldiers, and the goal is to provide them with tools that they can use to manage stress and find deep focus.

It takes a lot to stand guard for our nation, and these simple, ancient yogic practices act as a foundation for that strength. Whether it is Surya Kriya for energy activation or simple breathing techniques for clarity, the goal is always to bring the stillness of the practice into their daily life. Some soldiers who attend these programs even go on to become instructors themselves, spreading this knowledge within their own battalions. It is a slow, quiet change, but seeing them feel calmer and more focused after just a few days of practice is a powerful experience. My only hope is to pass on these tools as purely as I received them from my master, Sadhguru. Jai Hind.

I am Bhau. Yoga changed my life, and now I simply try to pass that on to others. I have seen firsthand how these ancient practices can bring peace and stability to our soldiers, and it is a path I am deeply grateful to walk.
