We don't teach kids how to fight, we teach them how to handle life. Our program in Sector 46 focuses on discipline, safety, and the confidence to stand up for themselves.

In this 'Omjiujitsu Insights' episode, I address a common concern from parents: is MMA training dangerous for kids? I break down the myths and explain how we prioritize safety while building strong, confident children.

After a great seminar, we all went for a meal together. This is what our community is about, spending time together both on and off the mats.

A funny moment from our kids' class. While I was explaining a technique, one of the kids got a little too excited with his sparring. We always keep the training environment safe, but sometimes things get hilarious.

Celebrating my mother's and Moti's birthday with the whole gym family, including our youngest students. These moments are what make our community special.

A funny 'Expectation vs. Reality' moment with one of my younger students. We teach real, effective techniques, not the flashy stuff you see in movies.

My students made this funny video about all the things a coach says. It's all in good fun and shows the great, light-hearted relationship we have.

Another 'Expectation vs. Reality' reel from the kids' class. We have a lot of fun exposing fake martial arts while learning what really works.

About Kids MMA: Confidence & Anti-Bullying

We don't teach kids how to fight, we teach them how to stay safe. Our sessions prioritize fall safety (Ukemi) and non-violent control. Your child will learn to escape holds, neutralize an aggressor, and maintain composure in stressful situations, all while training on our 40mm shock-absorbent mats.

Many parents hesitate before signing their kids up for martial arts because they worry about injuries or aggressive behavior. At our Sector 46 academy, we operate differently. Our anti-bullying curriculum is designed to teach children how to de-escalate situations and control aggressors without relying on brute force or violent striking.

Why Our Approach Is Different

  • Fall Safety (Ukemi): Before we teach any technique, we teach kids how to fall. This drastically reduces the risk of injury during practice and in real life.
  • Bully-Proofing: We focus on leveraging, escapes, and holds. It is about giving a child the tools to pin an aggressor or break a grab, not to initiate a fight.
  • Discipline & Etiquette: Dojo protocols like punctuality, bowing, and respect are central. We believe this carries over to their behavior at home and in school.

The Training Environment

We keep our classes small, usually between 6 and 10 students. This allows me to keep an eye on everyone, ensuring that partner drills are done safely and with control. We also use agility ladders, animal walks, and coordination games to make fitness fun rather than a chore.

If you are in Gurugram and want your child to build real grit, self-awareness, and the ability to protect themselves, come by and watch a class. See the mats, talk to the other parents, and let your child experience the vibe themselves. No shortcuts, just consistent practice.

I am Anand, founder of Omjiujitsu. As a kid, I faced bullying, which is exactly why I teach this program. I wanted to build a place where kids feel safe, develop real discipline, and learn to handle challenges without taking the easy way out.
