Welcome to our home in JP Nagar. We have designed our studios, Manipura and Anahata, to be quiet, purposeful spaces for your practice. Come see where our community gathers to learn, grow, and reconnect.

A wide view of our reception area, the first space that welcomes you into our shala. We have designed it to be a calm and inviting entrance, with our display of certifications and a statue of Maharshi Patanjali setting the tone for the practice within.

This is our Anahata studio, a spacious and light-filled room dedicated to our Teacher Training Courses and advanced practices. The open layout and high ceilings create an expansive atmosphere, perfect for deep dives into the art and science of yoga.

A look inside our Manipura studio, your sanctuary for mind, body, and spirit. The wall is lined with ropes and props, ready to support and enhance your practice, while the warm wooden floors provide a grounding foundation for your movement.

This is a corner of our reception area, where we honor the lineage of yoga. The illuminated shelf holds sacred murtis and texts, while our certifications hang nearby. A statue of Maharshi Patanjali, the codifier of yoga, watches over our space.

A truly blessed moment for us was the arrival of this beautiful statue of Maharshi Patanjali for our new shala. Having our guru oversee everything we do was a dream, and we are so grateful it has become a reality, grounding our space in tradition.

A close-up of the Maharshi Patanjali statue at our shala, adorned with flowers as an offering. This statue represents the heart of our practice, reminding us of the timeless wisdom of the Yoga Sutras and the path of self-realization.

This is our waiting area, a comfortable space to transition before and after your class. We have a small library with inspirational books and magazines for you to enjoy while you wait, fostering a sense of community and continued learning.

"The only thing that you absolutely have to know is the location of the library." We are a community of book lovers here at Amrutha Bindu. Our library is a cherished resource for students and teachers alike to deepen their understanding of yoga philosophy.

A view down the main hallway of our shala. The clean lines, warm lighting, and thoughtful artwork create a peaceful passage between the outside world and the inner sanctuary of our practice rooms.

Our prop station is fully stocked to support your practice. We have chairs for supported inversions and alignment work, blankets for comfort in restorative poses, and blocks to help you find the right height and deepen your stretches safely.

About Our Shala: A Sanctuary for Practice

We designed our shala not as a fitness gym, but as a sanctuary for your practice. You will find two distinct spaces here: Manipura, our main hall for daily sessions, fully equipped with props like straps, blocks, and bolsters for alignment, and Anahata, our expansive, light-filled studio reserved for advanced teacher training and deeper sadhana (disciplined practice).

Our studio in JP Nagar is more than just a room with mats; it is an environment curated to help you turn inward. We believe that the space you practice in sets the tone for your mind, which is why we have kept our surroundings clean, simple, and grounded.

The Spaces

Each studio serves a specific purpose in your journey. Manipura is built for the foundational work—whether you are joining a Hatha yoga class or just starting out, this is where you build your framework. The walls are lined with ropes and props, designed to help you modify poses to fit your body, not the other way around.

Anahata is our dedicated space for deeper study. This is where our RYT-200 and 300-hour teacher training cohorts gather. The high ceilings and open layout allow for the expansive energy required for Pranayama, meditation, and intensive training modules.

More Than a Studio

When you step into our reception area, you will see a statue of Maharshi Patanjali, the codifier of yoga. Having this symbol of our lineage watch over our space is a constant reminder that we are part of a tradition that goes far beyond physical exercise.

We also encourage community connection. You will find a small library in our waiting area filled with texts on philosophy and anatomy. We are a community of book lovers, and we invite you to pick up a book, sit, and reflect before or after your session. Whether you are coming in for a group class, a prenatal session, or an advanced workshop, we hope this shala provides the space you need to find svastha (balance) in body and mind.
