A comprehensive foundation in asana, pranayama, and philosophy, designed to help you build a lasting personal practice or begin your journey as a yoga teacher.

If you have ever felt the pull to go deeper into your yoga practice, our 200-hour training is your invitation. This is more than a course; it is a journey of self-discovery that explores the physical body, the breath, our energy, and the mind to help yoga take root in your life.

Our YTT 200 program is designed to build your practice and understanding from the ground up. This illustration breaks down the key elements of a single pose, showing how we integrate alignment, breath, and intention to create a holistic practice that aligns mind, energy, and consciousness.

What does it take to become a yoga teacher with us? This video walks you through the core components of our YTT 200 program. You will see how we integrate daily asana practice, the science of anatomy, practical teaching methodology, and the living wisdom of yoga philosophy.

Here is a look inside a YTT 200 session. We focus on building strong foundations through detailed asana studies, exploring alignment, biomechanics, and hands-on corrections. This is balanced with gripping theory sessions on the core principles of yoga.

Our YTT 200 curriculum is immersive and rigorous, designed for professional excellence. In just six weeks, you will dive into 54 asanas, 6 pranayama techniques, and 3 meditative practices, with over 50 hours dedicated solely to the art of teaching.

Namaste. I'm Medha, a co-founder of Amrutha Bindu Yoga. I want to personally invite you to explore our foundational YTT 200 course. It is one of my favorites to teach because it truly helps connect the dots between the body, breath, and our entire being.

What really happens in a Yoga Teacher Training Course? It is a blend of intense physical practice, like learning Bakasana (Crow Pose) with support, and deep intellectual learning, such as studying anatomy with a skeleton model and practicing Shatkarma (cleansing techniques).

A glimpse into the daily life of our YTT 200 students. The training involves detailed anatomical drawing to understand the body, receiving personalized adjustments from senior teachers, and practicing together as a community to build confidence and skill.

Saturdays in our teacher training are for deep, introspective sessions where we explore the nuances of yoga theory. It is in these moments of discussion and reflection that the logic, emotions, and experiences of the practice begin to connect for our students.

This is a sneak peek into our weekday intensive training program. You can see the focus and dedication as our future yoga leaders embrace the art of teaching, learning to guide others one breath at a time through patience, practice, and passion.

About 200-Hour Foundational Teacher Training

We focus on the practical art of teaching, dedicating over 50 hours of this program solely to sequencing, cueing, and adjusting for real bodies. You aren't just memorizing poses; you are learning how to translate ancient principles into a safe, effective class for others, supported by our hands-on anatomy and alignment training.

Beyond the Certificate

Our 200-hour program is designed for practitioners who want to move beyond physical performance and understand the 'why' behind every movement. Whether you intend to lead classes or simply want to deepen your own discipline, our curriculum blends traditional wisdom with modern movement science to create a complete yogic framework.

The Curriculum

  • Asana & Alignment: We study 54 foundational postures, focusing on biomechanics and individual body needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. You will learn to use props and modifications to make yoga accessible.
  • Teaching Methodology: This is the core of your professional development. We spend significant time on the art of vocal cues, intelligent sequencing, and providing safe, hands-on adjustments.
  • Philosophy & Breath: Learn the history of the Yoga Sutras and Upanishads and how to apply these teachings to modern life. We teach six distinct pranayama techniques and three styles of meditation to regulate the nervous system.
  • Anatomy: Using skeletal models and applied science, we teach you how to prevent injuries and understand the body's functional limitations.

Flexible Learning in JP Nagar

We understand that life is busy. Our hybrid model allows you to learn in a way that fits your schedule, with options to join us at our JP Nagar studio or participate through our online sessions. The course also includes a traditional Shatkarma retreat on the outskirts of Bangalore, providing a space to cleanse and reset. Throughout your training and even after you graduate, you receive direct mentorship from us, ensuring you feel supported as you step into your role as a teacher.
