About Our JP Nagar Studio (The Shala)
Finding the right environment matters as much as the practice itself. We have engineered our JP Nagar studio to be a sanctuary, using specialized flooring to reduce joint impact and a complete setup of Iyengar-style wall ropes and props. Whether you are coming in for a group Hatha session or a private therapy class, the space is intentionally kept minimal and sunlit to help you shift your focus from the outside world to your breath.
Designed for Svastha
We built this space in JP Nagar, Bengaluru, with the specific intent of creating svastha—a state of being established in oneself. The layout is functional and intentional. You will notice we use engineered wood flooring throughout the practice halls, which provides the necessary grip and cushioning to protect your joints during standing asanas and floor work.
Tools for Your Practice
Yoga is a dialogue between your body and your awareness, and props are the bridge. Our shala is fully equipped with:
- Iyengar-style wall ropes: Essential for inversions and spinal decompression.
- Bolsters, blocks, and belts: To support alignment and help you stay in restorative poses longer.
- Natural lighting: We designed the halls to minimize distractions, creating a neutral environment where you can work on your sankalpa (intention) without external visual clutter.
A Hybrid Community
Our shala operates as a hub for both local and online practitioners. The space is partitioned into main practice halls and a dedicated room for 1-on-1 therapy and prenatal sessions, ensuring that your private work remains uninterrupted. Whether you are joining us for a morning Sadhana or an evening Abhyasa session, you are stepping into a sangha (community) that values consistency over perfection. If you are in South Bengaluru, come by, sit in the reception area, and feel the energy of the space before you commit.
Amrutha Bindu Yoga
We are Medha and Sandeep, and we built this shala because we believe yoga is about finding balance, not performing poses. This space is where our community gathers to explore, learn, and grow together, making ancient practice relevant to modern life.
