I created Baakin paints because I wanted my little artistes to have safe, vibrant colours that just flow. No toxins, just pure creativity for every project.

Introducing Baakin Hybrid Poster Colors. I developed these paints to be brighter, smoother, and longer-lasting. Watch how easily this student creates a beautiful painting with them.

About Our Child-Safe Art Supplies

These hybrid poster colours are exactly what I use every single day in my Bandra studio. They bridge the gap between the ease of watercolours and the bold, opaque look of acrylics, which means even the youngest artists can get that 'pro' finish without the mess or the heavy chemicals found in standard paints.

When I started teaching, I struggled to source paints that were both safe for young children and high-quality enough to actually look good on canvas. Standard poster colours often looked chalky, and professional acrylics were too permanent and harsh for a classroom full of excited kids. So, I developed Baakin.

These are water-based, but they feature a unique hybrid formula. They offer the smooth, forgiving application of watercolours, but when they dry, they hold a bold, matte, acrylic-like finish. They have excellent opacity, meaning they do not fade, and they cover the paper beautifully in just one swipe.

Most importantly, safety is my priority. Everything I produce is EN71 certified. I built this formula using edible gum-based binders, so even if a toddler accidentally gets a bit on their skin or brush, there is absolutely no need to worry. My goal is to make sure every child feels confident picking up a brush, knowing their materials are as kind to the earth as they are to their hands.
