About Colorful Canvas & Painting
When painting, the technique matters as much as the result. Whether we are blending watercolors or layering acrylics, I sit with the students to show them brush movements, not just the finished picture. If you choose our online classes, our dual-camera setup ensures you see my hands and the paper clearly, making it as interactive as being in our Andheri studio.
At Saptarang Art Academy, we focus on the practical joy of painting. My approach to teaching watercolors, poster colours, and acrylic painting is grounded in helping kids understand how to handle their tools. We work on everything from still life studies to creative abstract designs.
Why Our Approach Works
- Small Batch Focus: With 10 to 15 students per offline batch, I ensure every child gets personal feedback on their color mixing and stroke work.
- Medium Mastery: Beginners start with poster colours to learn flat application and bold shapes, while older students move into watercolors and acrylics on canvas for better depth and texture.
- Exam Coaching: For students taking the Government Elementary and Intermediate Grade Exams, we provide a structured syllabus covering memory drawing and 2D design, ensuring they manage their time and techniques effectively.
Whether you are joining us at our Andheri East location or through our online sessions, the curriculum is the same. We prioritize patience and practice over perfection. Students are encouraged to bring their own kits to maintain hygiene and get comfortable with the tools they will use at home. Art is about finding your own style, and I am here to guide your child through that process step by step.

I started Saptarang in 2005 because art should be about the smile on a child's face when they finish a painting. I don't believe in rigid rules, just guided exploration where kids learn to handle everything from watercolors to canvas acrylics with confidence.
