The Art of Happiness at Alafiya's Kinderart

Welcome to my studio. These moments aren't just art projects; they are little windows into the joy, messy hands, and big smiles we share here in Bandra every day.

This stunning textured whale painting, inspired by Van Gogh's 'Starry Night', shows how I guide students to create complex masterpieces. We focus on techniques like impasto to build texture with acrylics, turning a simple canvas into a work of art they can be truly proud of. Well done!

Imagine a birthday party filled with colour, creativity, and laughter. I host outdoor art jams where kids can paint, get their faces painted, and enjoy the fresh air. Every party is a unique celebration, and each little artiste takes home their own creation as a party favor.

In my eco-friendly Ganpati workshops, children learn to sculpt their own idols using natural, non-toxic clay. This video shows the incredible focus and skill of a young student creating a detailed 'Reading Ganpati'. It's a beautiful way to connect with culture and creativity. GANPATI BAPPA MORYA!

Art isn't just for paper. In my fabric painting workshops, kids design and paint their own wearable art, like these custom shoes for Mother's Day. It's a joy to see them express their love by creating such personal and thoughtful gifts.

I believe in making art concepts fun and easy to understand. Here, my students are learning about the principle of balance in art, using vibrant colours to create beautiful sunset silhouette paintings. It’s about learning real techniques in a playful, no-pressure environment.

From a colourful blended background to the final intricate details, this piece shows how we explore different methods in a single project. This little artiste used sponging, brushwork, and drawing to bring her vibrant Ferris wheel to life.

What better gift for Father's Day than a custom-painted t-shirt? My fabric painting sessions let kids create one-of-a-kind presents that are full of love and personality, from dinosaurs to dogs.

The studio is always buzzing with excitement during our festive workshops. For Diwali, my chota artistes created these beautiful, personalized nameplates and elephant-themed decor to brighten up their homes. Happy Diwali from all of us!

About Featured

I don't believe in tracing or copying; I guide every chota artiste to discover their own creative spark. Whether we are working on 300 GSM watercolor paper or sculpting with natural clay, I focus on the technical 'how' of art—like perspective and color harmony—rather than just the final product. My Bandra studio is a space where mistakes are not just accepted, they are often the starting point for something even more beautiful.

Art for me is truly meditative. My studio here in Bandra is a safe, air-conditioned sanctuary where kids and adults can step away from the noise and find their flow. I have built a curriculum that balances real-world skills with the freedom to play.

My Approach

Safety is my priority. I use only non-toxic, EN71-certified materials, including my own BAAKIN hybrid poster colours, so there is zero worry while the kids get messy. We move away from the pressure of perfection. If a line goes crooked or a color splashes in the wrong place, we find a way to incorporate it. That is where true imagination takes flight.

What We Create

  • Canvas & Texture: We dive deep into mixed media, using texture paste, palette knives, and sponges to build layers that pop.
  • Wearable Art: From custom-painted t-shirts for Father's Day to shoes designed with specific themes, students learn fabric painting techniques that last.
  • Festive Traditions: During Ganesh Chaturthi, we do eco-friendly clay workshops. It is a wonderful way to connect with culture using Shadu river clay.

Whether you are looking for a weekend hobby class or a multi-day camp where your child can dive into perspective and shading, my goal is the same: for you to leave feeling a little calmer and a lot more creative than when you walked in.
