About Upcoming & Past Performances

Whether it is an intimate baithak or a grand stage like the Saptak Festival, I believe every performance is a conversation between the artist and the audience. Each concert is an opportunity for me to share the intricate bols and compositions passed down by my gurus, ensuring that the essence of our music reaches every listener.

My journey with the tabla is a lifelong riyaaz. From sharing the stage with legends like Begum Parveen Sultana ji and Pandit Abhay Rustum Sopori to performing at prestigious venues such as the India Habitat Centre and the Sankat Mochan Sangeet Samaroh, these moments define my life as an artist.

I perform in various formats to keep the tradition alive and accessible:

  • Tabla Solo Recitals: These are deep dives into the Ajrada style, where I present complex compositions, layakari, and padhant.
  • Classical Accompaniment (Sangat): Supporting vocalists and instrumentalists requires a unique sensitivity—listening, responding, and enhancing the main artist's melody without overshadowing it.
  • Jugalbandi: A rhythmic dialogue where I engage with other percussionists to create a spontaneous and energetic exchange.

My schedule takes me across India and internationally. If you represent an institution, a festival committee, or are looking to organise a classical music event, I invite you to reach out. I am committed to maintaining the sanctity of this art form and would be honoured to bring the sounds of the Ajrada Gharana to your event.
