Transformative Apartment Interiors: Functional Urban Design
We reconfigure apartment layouts to maximize natural light and flow, utilizing raw materials to define distinct, comfortable living zones.
This breakfast deck in Apartment 704 was created by repurposing underutilized space. A curved raw brick wall provides a textured backdrop, creating a cozy and distinct zone for casual dining.

The dining space in Apartment 704 is defined by a bold blue feature wall and antique wooden ceiling beams. This creates a vibrant, playful atmosphere for hosting, in contrast to the more minimal living area.
The living room of Apartment 704 is kept minimal with a grey sofa and contrasting green lounge chairs. Full-height glazing allows ample natural light, making the space feel larger.

This open-to-sky shaft in the KAIRA residence brings light and ventilation into the core of the home. We treated it as an interior courtyard, with rubble masonry, classical mouldings, and wooden tile flooring.
About Transformative Apartment Interiors
In our renovation of Apartment 704, we introduced a breakfast deck by re-zoning underutilized space, creating a defined transition without breaking the open-plan layout. By incorporating custom metal partitions, we balanced the need for distinct dining and seating areas while maintaining a sense of volume and connectivity throughout the home.
Our approach to interior design begins by stripping away unnecessary barriers to optimize natural light and circulation. Whether working within the constraints of a high-rise apartment or a smaller urban plot, our primary goal is to establish a seamless connection between different functional zones. We prioritize the use of authentic, tactile materials—raw brick, exposed stone, and natural wood—to introduce depth and character to what are often generic layouts.
In our residential projects, we focus on detailed site analysis, examining sun paths and wind direction to ensure every room feels connected to the outdoors. For instance, in our work with tight urban sites, we integrate open-to-sky shafts to pull light into the core of the residence. We view each project as an opportunity to bridge the gap between traditional craftsmanship and modern utility. From initial hand-drawn concepts to the final placement of switchboards and plumbing, our team manages every technical detail. This includes structural coordination, joinery specifications, and the careful selection of finishes that age gracefully. We invite you to view our process, where design intention meets practical execution.
