About The Learning Journey: Courses & Workshops
If you join our 7-week comprehensive course, you get more than just weekend guidance. I provide unlimited open studio access from Tuesday to Friday. This means you have the space to practice, fail, and experiment on your own time without worrying about the clock. This is where real learning happens, long after the weekend demonstrations are over.
At A Ware Studio, I do not believe in teaching shortcuts. My approach to pottery is built on the theory of adult learning—active, reflective, and scaffolded. Whether you are a beginner picking up clay for the first time or an intermediate potter looking to refine your throwing, every session is designed to build your muscle memory and your confidence.
Our Learning Paths
Thematic Workshops Perfect for a first-time experience. These are 4-hour sessions focused on specific skills like miniature sculpting, relief tiles, or Kurinuki. They are low-pressure, fun, and a great way to see if you enjoy the medium.
7-Week Comprehensive Course The heart of the studio. This 50-hour program is my signature offering, capped at 6 students per batch to ensure I can give you personalized attention. We cover the entire lifecycle of a piece: wedging, throwing, trimming, glazing, and kiln firing. You leave not just with finished ceramic items, but with the foundation to practice independently.
Professional Mentorship For those who want to take pottery beyond a hobby, I offer a 1000-hour vocational program. It covers advanced production techniques, glaze chemistry, and the business side of running a studio. This culminates in a funded exhibition, Ügam, giving you your first real taste of the professional art world.
Why Learn Here
We are based in Indiranagar, Bengaluru, and we value classroom chemistry. Learning is dialogic here—students and I explore questions together, test methods, and respond to outcomes as a group. If you are looking for a space to work slowly, think deeply, and build a craft, you are in the right place.
