About Student Showcase: The Fruits of Practice
Every piece here represents the end of a 7-week cycle. Students spend four weeks building skills like wheel throwing, trimming, and carving before dedicating the final weeks to designing their own collection. We handle all the technical heavy lifting, including glazing and firing, so your work is durable and functional when you take it home.
Our studio in Indiranagar is built on the belief that pottery is a long game. The pieces you see in this showcase are not the result of a single afternoon; they represent hours of repetition, failed attempts, and steady improvement over our 7-week comprehensive courses.
The Learning Process
We structure our classes to move beyond simple instruction. Beginners start by getting comfortable with the wheel, learning to center clay and pull cylinders. As the weeks progress, we introduce more complex techniques like sgraffito, wax resist, and mishima for surface decoration.
We also prioritize hand-building, ensuring students understand form and volume before they even touch the wheel. This foundation allows them to create everything from functional mugs and bowls to sculptural pieces like the ones you see in our Feb-Apr and Jun-Aug cohorts.
Why Our Courses Are Different
- Structured Guidance: We cap our wheel-throwing batches at 6 students to ensure you get personalized feedback as you learn.
- Open Studio Access: Our students get unlimited weekday access to the studio, which is crucial for building muscle memory and confidence.
- Technical Support: You don't need to worry about the chemistry or the kilns. We manage all glazing and high-firing processes, ensuring your work survives the heat and comes out food-safe.
Whether you are looking to pick up a new hobby or dive deep into the craft, our community provides the space to learn at your own pace. There is no pressure to fit a mold here—only the quiet space to let your own style emerge.
