Authentic Biryani and Grilled Mains
Experience home-cooked comfort in every bite. From my traditional Mince Chicken Biryani to smoky, charred Alfaham Chicken, these dishes bring authentic, nostalgic flavors straight to your table.
I created this Mince Chicken Biryani as a delicious alternative to the classic version. Fragrant rice is layered with spiced chicken mince and fresh herbs, then garnished with a boiled egg. It's a flavorful one-pot meal.
My Alfaham Chicken features a whole chicken leg and thigh, marinated in spices and grilled for that perfect smoky flavor. Served with fresh salad, it's a lighter but equally satisfying main course option.
About Biryani & Grilled Mains
I prepare my Mince Chicken Biryani using the traditional Dum method, which ensures every grain of long-grain Basmati rice is infused with saffron and whole spices. It is a hearty one-pot meal that captures that classic, home-style taste, making it an ideal choice for a comforting family dinner.
My approach to these mains is simple: I cook what I grew up eating. With my Mince Chicken Biryani, I layer spiced chicken mince with fragrant rice and aromatics like mint and cardamom in a sealed pot. This ensures the flavors develop slowly, resulting in fluffy, distinct grains that are full of character. You will also find a hard-boiled egg in the mix, just like the traditional way my family taught me.
When it comes to my Alfaham Chicken, it is all about that balance of smoke and spice. I marinate the chicken legs and thighs to ensure the flavors penetrate deep, then grill them until the skin is perfectly charred but the meat stays juicy. It is a lighter, satisfying option that works as a main or a generous starter.
Everything is made to order in my home kitchen in Bengaluru. Because I do not use preservatives or bulk-cooking shortcuts, you get real food with genuine textures. If you are looking for a meal that feels like it came out of a warm, bustling family kitchen rather than a commercial pantry, this is it.
